Impact Fitness & personal training with Liam is 100% worth the time, money and energy! I can honestly say I felt the most motivated, strong, beautiful and energized during the 4-5 months I was training there. Every session, Liam was supportive, informative and super considerate of my physical needs (I was experiencing back pain for a few weeks, so he tailored my exercises to strengthen my core and reduce risk of further injury). I was looking for a trainer who knew his stuff (because I love to ask questions) and who could push me physically. Liam did that and so much more! He really taught me all the foundational things, showed me tips for setting up my exercises, breathing methods, warm up stretches, nutritional guidance, etc. All of the knowledge he's shared has helped me overcome my social anxiety in gyms and has really sparked my love for fitness again! The gym itself feels intimate but big enough for all your strength training needs. It's super clean, well kept, safety protocols in place (temperature check, sanitizer, shoes off, masks enforced). There are nice showers in the back with a ton of toiletries, hair dryers, lotions, etc. AND A TON OF FREE PARKING right outside. All these extra amenities helped a ton when I was commuting from San Jose to Oakland towards the end of my training program. Me driving an hour through Bay Area morning traffic is enough to show you how much I loved Impact Fitness and how much it's worth trying out.

This review is long overdue! I’ve been working out with Liam for about a year now and have nothing but great things to share! Liam brings an uplifting and encouraging energy to every class, motivating me to push myself even on days when I feel like being lazy. You can really tell that he dedicates himself to developing workout programs that are dynamic, challenging, and fun. Not only will you get a sweat-inducing workout, but you will genuinely have fun doing it! The hour-long classes fly by.Before the pandemic, I took Liam's classes at the gym in Oakland, and now I’ve been taking his online classes. I've gotta say, he's done a fantastic job of transitioning to online classes. You will still get 1:1 attention to ensure you have the proper technique. I love that he gives shout-outs when you are pushing yourself through that last rep. It always feels good to get recognition for putting in the work.Long story short: I 100% recommend Liam's classes to anyone who is just starting out or anyone who feels like they need some variety from the Peloton. Liam makes everyone feel welcome in his classes and provides modifications to make exercises easier or harder, depending on your needs.

I have been working with Liam from Impact Fitness as my personal trainer for over 4 months. I have had 22 sessions with him, and he has helped me immensely in achieving my fitness goals. Over the course of 4 months, not only have I lost 35+ lbs thanks to him, but also been motivated to make healthy adjustments to my lifestyle. I highly recommend Impact Fitness to folks in East Bay who are looking to make visible progress towards their fitness goals.Besides the training sessions, Liam also provided me with customized meal plans, helped in tracking my daily nutrition, and gave me frequent feedback and motivation. He also monitored the exercises I did on my own, providing feedback and adjustments as needed.I really appreciated Liam’s patience, attention to detail, and overall support. I started as a beginner, and this was my first time working with a personal trainer. Liam not only helped me get healthier, and but also helped me find my passion towards fitness.

Over the year I try to gain weight, but my effort was in vein. Thanks to coach Liam and his exercise program I transformed my body from thin to muscular in only two months. in addition to, I know coach Liam since 2017 and I’ve being training with him in his program since then, he has help me achieve every goal I have set for myself. thank you for your support and patient. you’re the best coach.I trust him very much, not only for his knowledge on fitness, also in nutrition because i can say that his technique of train really works,highly recommended for the new student, clients, friends and any person who want to actually change habits.

2019 was an extremely eventful year. One of the biggest surprises of the year was joining Coach Liam's Impact Oakland Fitness Program. I didn't expect to have any physical gains during the beginning of the year. However, it all started when my girlfriend at the time had a consultation with Liam to eat healthier as well as become more athletic and I tagged along with her. Liam was super friendly and quite cheerful and he encouraged me to workout with his group. Unfortunately, my girlfriend couldn't come to the workout sessions since she lived in San Francisco, but I gained all the benefits that she wanted :D.I had a lot of fun for my first week workout sessions. Liam gave us exercises to complete and he was keen on my form and gave instructive feedback. Namely, some of the exercises I struggled with was deadlifts and it was something that I wanted to improve upon. Seeing my form dramatically improving during the first week of my workouts convinced me to continue further more with Liam's program.Liam also provided nutrition coaching in his program. He introduced me to some clean healthy meals that I can cook by myself and encouraged me to meal prep. I tried following these recipes and I was quite surprise how easy it was to cook these meals. Within 2 hours of cooking, I was able to meal prep for 5 days! If you think about it, this can save you time and money relative to waiting in line and buying meals in downtown San Francisco. Every week, I would spend roughly $40 - $80 making my own food from Trader Joes. This could possibly be even cheaper if I decide to buy my groceries from local Chinese super markets in Oakland, Chinatown.Continuing on with Liam's exercise program, I felt stronger and faster with each passing week. After consistently working out with Liam for about 4 to 5 times, I noticed that I could easily benchpress my weight and run over 6 miles. It made me so happy seeing the progress I've made throughout my time working out with Liam.However, these were not the proudest accomplishments that I have achieve with Impact Fitness Oakland. On November, I've completed my first Spartan Race at AT&T Park. With Liam's training, I was able to to finish all the obstacles in the race. Additionally, throughout the time I was working out with Liam, I lost over 15 pounds and I've consistently kept that weight.Overall, Liam is a very attentive trainer. He definitely knows how to help you achieve your fitness goals. It's just a matter of implementing his advice and doing it consistently. What I like about him the most is that he gives constant feedback on achieving your goals and he encourages everyone to achieve try harder. With this and his positivity, I've got to say that the best parts of my days was working out with Liam.2019 was full of positive surprises. Can't wait to see what 2020 has in store and I am pretty sure that working out with Liam will help achieve my next goals.

Liam, adapted to the virus-related gym closures, by offering virtual am and pm classes. His focus is on good form and safety and, just like the in-person classes, he closely monitors each of us and suggests adjustments. I have taken this unusual opportunity to participate in classes twice daily. Coach keeps the classes interesting, challenging and full of information and has just included basic boxing - fun. Liam also offers nutrition challenges and a program that helps you adjust your mental attitude to health/food. I recently hurt my ankle, Coach followed up frequently giving healthy advice. The gym is all inclusive everyone is sincerely encouraging and real. I am really, really old am still am an integral part of Team Liam. I am thrilled to have found the perfect coach and really enjoying the inches melting away.

I initially signed up for the trial period and was greeted by Coach Liam who was super friendly from day one. Coach Liam is committed to your success and it really has shown during even the most trying times this year during shelter in place. He has gone above and beyond to check in with clients to see how they are doing and helps so much with accountability. Coach Liam has also been super flexible and offered several different avenues of delivering fitness workouts whether through virtual zoom classes or 28 challenges. He keeps us engaged and it almost feels like the gym never closed. You’re not just another number at this gym but truly a part of a fitness community striving to a little better each day

Thanks for all the advice on proper nutrition and exercise you made everything really easy to understand the way you broke everything down on what to eat and the amount was cool on top of that you gave me a complete meal plan and a recipe book i will keep you updated on my progress throughout these next few weeks

Frank is very knowledgeable and professional. I have personally worked out with him and have gotten great results. If you stay consistent you will see results. He studies you and finds out how your body works and works you at your own pace. Definitely recommend this place!
