Very disappointed in OTF. Beware the very scammy contract they make you sign... cancelling your contract later is not as simple as calling them. They tell you that you MUST go in person and sign paperwork, no other option. And if you injure yourself or otherwise can't go, they still get to charge you for another 30 days. Also, no one warns you of this scammy policy up front when you are excited to start working out... it is buried in the fine print of the contract. Someone else had this comment about Ogden, the manager said they explain this up front, but that never happened to me or my friends. Easy to miss, and still the responsibility of the contract signer... but bottom-line: SCAMMY! Clearly, they just after your money by making things hard. Easy solution though: OTF change to let people call to cancel.UPDATE: manager did send me a DOCUSIGN document that I could sign and cancel from at home, but after a back-n-forth of many frustrating calls and texts. So upgraded to 3. Still a scammy policy though that any franchise owner should be able to adjust, esp with respect to the final charge 30 days out.

Update: I received an email from the studio manager after being lied to that I could otherwise submit a complaint. Here is my continued frustration with Orange Theory, they say that they want it to be a welcoming experience, though they undermine their members by responding to my complaints with comments like “we are sorry you were confused” and “we apologize you feel.” I am not confused by what was communicated to me. What was communicated regarding the agreement terms was wrong. And whatever guy works there currently did communicate the wrong information. I also don’t “feel” like his commenting was distracting - it was wrong. Period, that should never be acceptable behavior of your employee hitting on the customers. The manager and the studio have done nothing to acknowledge my valid frustrations and continue to undermine them to force payment. That alone proves they have no actual care for their members- it’s all about forcing that bottom line. Be it through false marketing, lying to customers ect. it’s all about that bottom line. I would never want anyone to join a gym and be treated that way.——I was informed when I cancelled my membership that I would have to pay me fees for the next month during the termination period. I stated it I was canceling with their no commitment policy I should not have to pay anything more than my current dues. They said the membership agreement which states you have to pay all fee due PRIOR to cancelling and termination means you have to pay that extra month. I told the studio the guy who signed me up explained that clause to mean the payments due prior to cancelling so any payment on my account if it was not current. The manager promised me that he had been trained and would not have explained this incorrectly to me. The same guy busy flirting when I signed up and on later dates told me how cute I looked. Don’t think he was focused on the sales pitch. Regardless, I am refusing to pay that last payment and the studio is threatening to send me to collections. Incredibly unprofessional and incorrect marketing. When I complained to the manager she stated I could file a complaint. Turns out each studio is independent so you can’t file a complaint. Suddenly this no commitment gym is threatening to send my one day past payment termination period fee to COLLECTIONS. No commitment- except extra months charged and hits against your credit score.

I love OT! I started working out at Orange theory when I lived in Florida and was so happy when the gym opened up in South Ogden! The workouts are so much fun, the staff is so friendly, they know your name, and the coaches are knowledgeable and relatable and push you when you need to be pushed!

Absolutely love this gym and community and all it has enriched my life with. At a baseline all I have to do is *show up* everyday - they do all the planning and prepping for you. The workouts are fun and constantly changing so I’m never bored or feel like I’m over working a muscle group. The results are gradual and healthy but ultimately undeniable. So happy I pulled the trigger and joined with an elite membership. Absolutely worth every penny!
