Gracie Barra provides excellent instruction and the instructors are extremely welcoming to students of all skill level. Facility is clean and they take Covid-19 pre-cautions seriously. An all around great environment, team and family to join.

For anyone who has children or may want to learn for themselves, Gracie Barra School of Jiu-Jitsu on 135th Street in Overland Park, KS is an awesome place to learn discipline and self-defense, develop strength of the body, knowledge of the mind, and a non-quitting attitude.

I would recommend anyone to GB overland park. Professor Valerio is great at breaking down and working on the techniques of the craft. A great place to get in a workout with a team environment.

My entire family has been attending class regularly for the past 3 months. From my 5yo to me, who has several gray hairs, we all enjoy learning practical self defense skills and discipline (especially for my little one). Professor Valerio and all of the Coaches do a phenomenal job with the students. You won't go wrong coming to GB-OP for BJJ!

Highly satisfied with Gracie Barra Overland Park and would recommend it to anyone! Especially those with kids. Our son has been going for a while now and he has been having fun and making new friends along the way. Been learning self-defense, listening and being a good partner. Professor and Coaches are wonderful and work well with the kids. I even enjoy going Saturday and doing the parent/kid session 👍

Gracie Barra Overland Park has been such an amazing experience for my children. They’re not only learning Brazilian Jujitsu, they’re learning respect, patience, compassion and persistence on and off the mat. The instructors are phenomenal. They are consistent with the skills, teaching strategies and values with all students (ages 3 - adult).The owner, Coach Tim; sets the stage for the school to not only be a team - but a true, genuine family. He wants to sincerely know all of the students and their families who walk through his doors.If you’re looking for a jujitsu school for yourself or your kids, look no further.

Our son has been attending for four months now. It’s the first place he has stayed with for this long. Every other activity he tried he left after a month. He enjoys the classes so much and they really encourage him to push himself further. His confidence has grown and he loves the physical aspect. The coaches are so supportive and fun. He has made so many new friends here. We love the community here!

Been training here since may, from the very first day I walked through the door the coaching staff has welcomed me with open arms. Weather it be a question about a certain technique, something I seen online or something I wanted to try Professor Valerio helped me understand it even if I didn’t understand the way he explained it to me he took the time to help me understand. The gym has a great learning atmosphere a lot of people have told me they would love to come but they don’t want to get slammed.This gym is not one of those gyms believe in the true learning experience they preach 30% all the time no one wants to get hurt. Everyone learns at his or her own pace and they are very understanding just because you don’t understand on the first day don’t get discouraged keep coming THE MATS DONT LIE. Hope to see you out there.
