The kids zone needs to be updated as asap, YMCA is supposed to be based for families yet they are trying to get rid of the basketball court where the youth play volleyball, basketball and even the younger children love to play in, and they only offer someone to show you how the machines work at 11am which is always full. It took them 2 months to schedule someone to show me the machines and an hour off from work since they only do it that early. I also wish they had Zumba classes during later times like other gyms for people who work. With that being said the staff is very friendly, and the park and pool are gorgeous!

I am new in town. From Upstate NY (Albany). This is a fantastic YMCA. They put a lot of money into this gym. It is completely updated and fun.

Nothing but issues with their child care program. Previously we had our kid at the DeLand location and it was much better ran. Anyone can walk right up and pick up a child. They never check your I.D. We hired a new baby sitter and she commented on the fact that she could walk right in and no one asked anything. The DeLand location you aren't allowed to walk in, they bring your child out. Also they have to be signed out and verified. Sometimes I find myself walking around the facility looking for my child because they're not 100% sure where he is 🤦. Every day we come home with incident reports. Since we've signed him up he's gotten slapped, punched, eyebrow cut with a water bottle thrown at his face, and most recently another child bit him leaving bruising. There's no sense of leadership and management. It seems the counselors just hang out while the children have a free for all in the playground. Our kid is no angel, we aren't that naive. But, it's the employees responsibility to try and prevent all these incidents. Like I said I never had issues at the DeLand YMCA. When asked about the incidents they have a real clueless look on their face. Unfortunately there wasn't any reviews about the facility when we signed up so we're writing this to warn other parents & hopefully they improve the way it's being run.

Please avoid this YMCA at all cost. Incompetent staff and absolutely no follow through. I will be issuing a complaint to corporate for the rude way that I was treated by the front desk associate Sherry, who refused to listen and hung up on me twice when I called to inquire about my refund. She was the same person that claimed to have initiated it 6 days prior. Dealing with this place became a nightmare, when all I wanted was private swim lessons for a 3 year old. I do hope management listens to recorded phone calls and hears the way she spoke to me.

Both my kids started playing recreational soccer here. And we all enjoy it so much! They have fun mixed teams with both boys and girls and beginners to more experienced players who all show some amazing sportsmanship. Games are exciting and their coach Ariel is awesome! The gym is packed with new and awesome equipment, they also offer some guided gym activities like HIIT and the full body shape group class Are all great if you need a little motivation like I do 😉Kids also started junior league swimming to enhance their stroke techniques. This place is great for young to old, no excuses anymore to be out of shape 😁

New to Florida and have been loving the YMCA (not as many gyms as I expected). The new fitness center is fantastic, pool is HUGE, and 24 hour access was one of my top priorities! Plus the staff is friendly and funny! Love Martin & Patrick!! 10/10
