very happy to be a member at spf! my girlfriend and i joined this gym about a year ago when we moved to south pas. over the last 8 years, i’ve been a member at la fitness, equinox, and then fitness 19 (not at the same time, of course) and i can easily say that i’m happiest at south pas fitness. the gym is always clean, weights are organized and kept in the proper location, and equipment is well maintained (or brand new!). the gym is spacious and separated into a few different spaces, so it never feels packed, even at its busiest times. in general, the gym is quiet (no dropping weights!) and other members are respectful and kind. parking is plentiful (even at the busiest of times), as are available lockers and towels. the gym also has more of a “zen” vibe and is aesthetically pleasing - there aren’t tvs blaring bad cable tvs shows everywhere and cheesy edm remixes aren’t blasting through the club.final note: i’m a big fan of spf and am grateful for an organized, quiet, cool, clean, odor-free gym. the gym is constantly getting new and upgraded equipment and i can easily say this spot is worth the $$.

Clean, modern local spot for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or just getting back into shape — whatever your goal, this gym has it.Resistance bands for mobility drills? Sled for kneesovertoes type training? Compound workouts like deadlifts, squats, and bench press? YesWhat I like most is having the space to workoutI see lots of locals and other busy parents like me. Perfect place to get a workout in before the kids wake up.

Disappointing. Poor management & ongoing card charges without consent (e.g. hidden fees, charges for missed classes you never signed up for, or use of sauna)The amenities are not worth the stress when you’re trying to decompress.

This place is okay but it really is expensive for what it offers. Better than your average commercial gym or is it really? Maybe not, cause they are asking twice the price. They don't even have a paid spotify account and blast commercials, ed sheeran, and top 40 just like planet fitness. I dunno bro, been thing about leaving this spot.

Love this gym! Tons of space, lots of equipment & machines, inclusive & friendly environment, and it never feels crowded. Parking is easy, it's easy to get in and get out because I never find myself needing to wait for machines and all. Haven't taken the classes yet, but there is a variety of group classes offered basically everyday.Only weird thing is the bathroom/locker room configuration. It's a weird design/layout given the actual workout part feels very well laid out.Not the cheapest gym out there but I enjoy the value I get from South Pas Fitness.

South Pas Fitness is a great neighborhood gym! Sometimes LA can feel huge and overwhelming. This is a gym where you will see the same people and the staff and instructors will know you and chat with you and it makes you want to come back and work out! There are a lot of different classes and it is well maintained with new equipment. There's also a comfortable lounge and wifi and a coffee bar! The only reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is that they don't have a pool and they only have a single use sauna which is very popular and hard to get into, so I wish they had more. Also they need fresh stretch mats (I usually bring my own). But it offers an intangible community vibe that is really 5 stars. I had not been working out regularly for years but since joining SPF I go 2-3 times a week now and am starting to really see a difference!

*edit: did not expect them to reach out let alone do it so quickly but they did and also gave a full refund. It was a miscommunication but to take fault and apologize showed that management definitely cares about the individual experience and also gave me full run down on how they do the screen golf. They also have better clubs for rentals for the unknowing person that wanted to try screen golf but came unprepared.I bought a day pass and in general the gym was nice with great facilities. However, towards the end of the workout, my experience turned really bad because of the miscommunication I had with the front worker. I noticed they had screen golf and having never tried screen golf, I went to the front to ask about it. The worker told me I had to reserve a time so I went ahead and reserved it but he never mentioned that it would cost extra and I do remember asking if I could use the screen golf as a day pass user and all he said was yes without telling me the added cost. After the session, The worker told me he had forgotten to charge me and I was a little shocked because I was not told that it would cost extra and on top of that it would be an extra 50 dollars. I went ahead and paid for it because at the time I was with a friend and did not want to make a scene. However, I would have never paid 50 for a screen golf session with just nothing but their own run down golf clubs and cracked golf balls and to have the audacity to ask for payment after forgetting to tell me that there would be extra charge definitely made the whole experience pretty sour.

They have made lots of improvements, the machines and classes have only gotten better. My only issue is with the locker rooms. It always feels a bit awkward to shower here, with no place to put my locker key and the water getting all over the floors. Regardless, the gym is clean, modern, and expansive for my needs. The community at South Pas is also strong.

My teenage son loves this gym! He likes the weights, staff and overall environment. I love that is clean, safe and well-maintained. Love supporting this small business. We were members of LA Fitness and recently switched. It cost a bit more but there is value, it's not packed with people, it's clean and the staff is very helpful!

This place is awesome!! It’s got everything you need for a good workout. 3 squat racks, a smith machine and 3 platforms for you Olympic lifters. Plenty of machines and they have spin, and a big open area for calisthenics. You can schedule some time in the infrared sauna and the cafe is amazing. The staff is all so friendly and accommodating. I’ve been to gyms all over the country and this is definitely top 5.The machines are also spaced well enough to maintain your distance from other people if that’s still an issue for you.
