Retro Fitness at Wallington Square Plaza offers a practical and well-equipped environment for fitness enthusiasts. This 24-hour gym provides a wide range of exercise machines, knowledgeable trainers, and a friendly atmosphere. Despite its smaller size, it rarely feels overcrowded except during peak hours, and it stands out for its newly renovated facilities.

However, the gym faces significant criticism for its hygiene standards and customer service issues, mainly related to membership cancellations and equipment maintenance. While various members appreciate the staff's friendliness and effectiveness, others note that broken machines and cleanliness problems persist, affecting the overall experience.

Pros:

  • Open 24 hours a day.
  • Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
  • Wide variety of equipment.
  • Great atmosphere with positive vibes.
  • Recently renovated facilities.
  • Knowledgeable personal trainers available.
  • Some of the best coaches around.
  • Massage chairs are included.
  • Convenient location with ample parking.

Cons:

  • Poor equipment maintenance.
  • Issues with membership cancellations.
  • Complaints about cleanliness.

Great workout spot... love the equipment (hate the color scheme) the people were focused on their workout and there was a wide range of ages excersizing...Sadly I only get an hour unpaid so I could only workout for 45 minutes..

Worst gym ever people over there don’t know anything at all one person says something and the other denies... they over charge you for no reason even thou I paid the cancellation fee and they still charged me for the following month

One of the few REAL gyms opened 24 hours. They have all the equipmemt you need and everything is neat and clean. Could use a greater variety of pre workout, though.

One of the few retro fitness in the area that is open 24/7. Although it’s open 24/7, it may be closed on holidays. They post notices on the door and on their fb to notify the customer of any closures.I’ve been to 3 retrofitness so far. For this retro in particular, I love that the scanner faces you so you can just scan your membership card and go in. At other retrofitness you’re often waiting several minutes for a staff member to scan you in personally. Rather irritating when there’s only one guy and you have to wait for him to finish serving a Customer a smoothie or when they’re busy talking to a customer and ignoring the line of check in’s building up. Thankfully it’s hardly ever the case at this retrofitness. As with most retrofitness, this one has a theater that’s a bit more open in design. There’s windows on either side of the theater letting you look in as you pass it or out as you’re watching the movie working out. It’s just nice for a quick glance of a movie that you may not know of but could possibly enjoy. The theater closes, for presumably maintenance, at 1am to 5am.This retrofitness has 3 fancy stairclimbers (apart from the usual 2 non-fancy ones found at the other retro’s) and 1 stepper. They are fancy cause of the large screen, Bluetooth option, and my two favorite parts: the USB port to charge your phone, and the oh so needed fan blowing on you as you survive your climb! It does not have the bicycles that also puts your arms to work (with the arm press and leg press features), nor the hardly ever used frictionless treadmill (what I call it as I don’t know the name). I’ll have to update this review once I get ahold of the names of the equipment.Apart from that, it’s your typical retro fitness. If you found this review helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. I’d be delighted if you gave it a 👍🏼 like. Cheers 🍻.

The policy for membership cancellation is worst. I have to move to Chicago on an urgent basis and they charged me post 1 month along with a cancellation fee. I would not recommend to join Retro. Despite you will get other good gyms for a better price with a better quality.

Belonged here for awhile, most of the weight stacks have extra resistance on them because they are poorly maintained , machines break and it takes so long for them to fix them that you’d think a horse and carriage was delivering the parts , one leg extension leg piece has been bent for about three years and they have still never fixed it. When it gets hot outside, prepare for it to be super hot in the gym (poor ventilation and poor air conditioning system I guess ) . Not to many treadmills here , usually 2 or 3 don’t work , 1 or 2 can’t maintain and incline , and 1 or 2 can keep a speed over 7 mph . That being said it takes a lot for me to write a bad review but the constant state this gym seems to be in I wouldn’t recommend anyone join this one. I guess the owner doesn’t really care about the gym.

Not very crowded, some machines are broken but they are quick to replace them

Once you join . its difficult to make them stop taking money from you'r account if you stop going and cancel your membership
