We enrolled our pre-K up for the tumbling class here then put her in the Cheer Fundamentals class. There are a lot of young coaches (some of the older competitors) for the little kids. This is to be expected in this type of gym. Of note, this gym has a waiting room that parents sit in while their child is in class. It has a window to view the floor but you can not hear what is being said on the floor and some of the views are blocked.I really like the tiny tumble. The coach my daughter had was energetic and kind; she did a great job with 3-5yo.However, when we went to the Fundamentals class our experience went down hill. My daughter went from loving going to class and seeing "coach" and her friends to loathing it. When we would arrive she would be in a good mood and ready to go and after ~15-20 of class she would have a bunch of excuses to leave class (multiple bathroom breaks, water breaks, etc). When I asked why she didn't want to stay in class she would avoid the question. Given the design of the parent area I could see many of the little kids were disengaged in the class and the coaches clearly had limited coaching capability. I have coached athletics before (ages 4-adult) and often noted the lack of agenda. One day she was refusing to walk back out to the floor unless I walked out there with her (parents weren't typically allowed on the floor). When I walked her out there the 2 coaches with the 3-5yo kids were yelling at them and mocking them. I did not sign my child up to be yelled at, ridiculed, and mocked. This was not yelling to call a kid back over from the water fountain this was yelling directly in front of the children things like "ARE YOU DEAF?!" - to PRE-K KIDS! No wonder my daughter hated this class.I brought it to management and explained that I have experience in this arena and this type of behavior is totally unacceptable. She listened and said she would address it with the staff. While in the parent area during the entirety of this class term I overheard nearly all of the competition parents that were at the gym at the same time as I was complaining about how the normal coaching interactions were very aggressive and generally very rude and that most of the young athletes cried often.I was also told, by several people, about several occasions that coaches would no-show practices without notifying parents! If the athletes no-showed a practice they risked being removed from the team but the coaches don't have to show a mutual respect? The culture of this gym clearly needs revamping.

Awesome gym, I don't know if the air conditioner was or off, but it felt a bit stuffy inside. Again don't know whether it was off early or if it just needed to be adjusted. It is a clean gym, and staff were nice and kind!

Love how they pour into the kids! It really gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment when they are praised by coaches for achieving the smallest or biggest feat it's a total esteem booster!

Thermostat STAYS at 76 degrees, there was very little fresh air in the observation room! MISERABLE! No excuse for that other than being cheap! The place was packed.

The staff and coaches at Odyssey are wonderful and talented! My daughter is learning quickly because of their teaching style. My daughter LOVES Coach Morgan and looks forward to going to class with her every week and always tells me she wants to grow up to be just like Coach Morgan. I'm thankful for the loving coaches and my second family at Odyssey.
