I've been training with Coach Mauricio for approx. 10 years now. His passion and dedication to his profession is second to none! He exemplifies everything you want in a coach and trainer and is committed to helping everyone learn! I began training with Coach Mauricio while we were both at another martial arts studio and he approached me to help correct my form and techniques, although I wasn't even his student, yet. I can't say enough praise for him. He is the premier coach for adults and children's martial arts.

Nice location. Nice equipment. Wouldnt say its the most beginner-friendly Muay Thai spot.If you KNOW what youre doing and youre EXPERIENCED in Muay thai/boxing/kickboxing… this is certainly the gym for you!If you want to learn from scratch, or if you have minimal experience, or if youre a total beginner…. you may wanna try and learn somewhere else first! The coach is cool but wouldnt say hes an expert with beginner adults!I did a trial.. wanted to learn! I was thrown into the fire, didnt know what i was doing and didnt feel comfortable there. My skill level was below everyone elses and feel as if the coach didnt even bother wasting his time to help me out.I tried another gym and they ACTUALLY have patience for newbies & show the basics! Feel much more comfortable there! And seeing true progress! Avoid this place if you are a newbie.

I have been working with Coach Mauricio for about 2 years now and couldn't recommend him and the Academy of Martial Arts enough. Whether you or especially your child are new comers to muay thai, or if you're a pro looking for a coach to tune you up, Mauricio and AMA are the place for you! My only regret is that I can't go more often! Classes are fun and welcoming and haven't had a bad one yet!

My son has been attending this school for two years. During this time, I have seen him gain confidence, character, and strength. The coaches are very patient and encouraging. Since joining, my son has developed new friendships and self respect. We are a close group that supports our children. I highly recommend this school.

I recommend this academy to anyone who wants their child to train in all areas of mixed martial arts. Coach Mauricio personally trains the kids and puts in more effort than any other gym in the area. The kids are exposed to Kickboxing/Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and MMA. Come for a free class and see for yourself.

If you are looking for a friendly and professional environment to have your kid learn about Martial Arts ...THIS IS IT!!!!! Since day one and in every class Coach Mauricio has been amazing showing his passion and dedication to all the children, making them feel confident at all times and teaching them always something new! My 9 year old looks forward to every weekly train sessions and we couldn't be happier that we found the perfect place for him!
