I’ve been a member for over a year already, but i have to change my initial review. I could tell since I started that the cleanliness is 0/10. But today the universe said no to me. I put my phone on a bike and dry gum sticks to my phone. …

This is for people who want to try out the gym free pass!I tried showing up with my 2 brothers who are 16 and I’m 21 to try out the gym for the first time and I called to make sure if we can try out the day free pass. However, after driving 30 minutes when we got there they told us that to enter as a guest we have to be 18 years old (I’m 21). Usually with gyms this isn’t a problem because I usually just sign their waiver since I’m over the age of 18. However, that wasn’t the case here since there’s no waiver they just have to be 18. Then they told us if we become members they can enter so I tried singing them up for a membership, but then I wasn’t allowed to sign for them since it has to be a parent or guardian. I thought I could count as a parent or guardian I mean how would they know? They don’t know if our parents are alive… abut I wasn’t going to start anything cause I wasn’t too familiar with the laws in Florida. So we left and tried checking online. Online it allows us to use the free day pass and even sign up as a member but I wasn’t going to risk it cause they might not allow us in even if we signed up online unless we have our parent/guardian.I’m giving a 1 star cause I waisted gas on the way there and for not letting us know about this goofiness. It looked like a good gym though. Fortunately we went to retro fitness and they did allow us in as I was able to sign the waiver for my brothers to enter the gym and we ended up having a great time and become members there, so it wasn’t for nothing.TIP: in the state of Florida there’s a lawstating any person who has elected to become a member of a club may cancel such membership by giving written notice of cancellation any time before 12 midnight of the third business day following the date on which membership was attained. Cancellation shall be without liability on the part of the member. The member will be entitled to a total refund, within 10 days after notice of cancellation is given, of the entire consideration paid for the contract.Rights of cancellation may not be waived or otherwise surrendered. This goes for any gym. I’ve been to over 25 gyms and worked at 5 different gyms from Planet fitness all the way to luxury gyms like Equinox and so far I haven’t encountered a gym that refuses this law so I’m willing to be it works for Amped. So if you’re wanting to sign up into any gym and don’t end up liking it just cancel within 3 days and you’ll be fine even if it’s under a contract. (There may be some gyms that refuse this law but I haven’t heard of any).

This place is awesome! Great staff, nice equipment. Although I wish there was more boxing equipment…. I would recommend this gym to friends and family.

By far the best gym I’ve ever been too! Equipment is well spaced out so it doesn’t feel packed. The nicest front desk people, especially love Wyatt and Jazmin!!

October: Open 24 hrs but not staffed 24/7. If you want to use the gym after hours, you need to use a special door with your member barcode. My bf and I switched from LA Fitness to have 24/7 access. Two and half weeks later, our key cards and app are not allowing us in. We aren't going to miss our workouts, so we have to stand by the door and wait for someone to enter/exit to get in. I had an opportunity to get out of work early and go during staffed hours to get this fixed. A girl at the desk said the issue had been fixed that morning, she took my name and number and said the manager would call me. That was on Thursday and no one called me or my bf. I went this Saturday morning at 6am and it still wasn't fixed. I called during staffed hours and they said the manager was supposed fix that on the spot. He told me to go on Monday during staffed hours. Here I am Sunday at 1:45am, waiting for someone to use the door. This is a huge inconvenience and extremely irritating. We got memberships to have flexible schedules, I cannot be adjusting my schedule to them. I spoke with some members that were outside and they use a different app to get in, one which neither my bf or I received a link to in our emails. We only have the normal Amped Fitness App. As other members have said, the gym is really nice but it's packed during normal hours. After peak hours, there is no staff and hence the mess.July Update: Overcrowded and broken A/C (with 94* weather). There has to be point when you stop taking memberships; the gym isn't that big and there aren't enough machines. Switching to Planet Fitness.*Heads up: You will be charged an additional month upon cancellation.*People: Read the bad reviews before getting a membership, they're all true and accurate.

Excellent staff, and equipment would be good if it was maintained. Machines are often broken and take forever to get fixed. I’m not sure why a gym with so many members doesn’t have a mechanic fixing equipment in a timely manner.
