So glad we stumbled upon Fortify in a google search. My 13 year old had been begging to do boxing and I’d always been on the fence about it. Finally decided to give it a try, searched for local gyms and ended up calling Fortify and speaking directly to the owner Isaiah. He was responsive, professional and let my son come check it out before committing to a membership. The coaches and other members were so welcoming and encouraging. It only took one class and my son was hooked! He’d be there every day if we’d let him. He’s been going a few months now and has already learned so much in both boxing and MMA. They offer a variety of training and they can adapt to all levels of experience. There’s something for everyone here. The coaches are all top notch- they know what they’re doing, they’re tough but safe, and you can tell they truly care about their athletes as individuals. It’s been a great way to keep my son busy, healthy mentally and physically, and build his confidence. As parents we are so grateful for what the Fortify team has offered our son, it’s truly been a blessing. This place has a good thing going. A small business you’ll be proud to support!

Fortify Fight Club is the best gym in Arizona!!! I walked into the gym for the first time in January, a little hesitant as I had never stepped foot in a combat sports gym before. Upon entering, I was greeted by a great environment and even better people. Coach Isaiah is extremely kind and helpful, and will always work on pushing you physically as well as improving your techniques! There has not been one bad experience I can associate with Fortify, every single coach is very nice and welcoming, as well as all of the participants. The environment that has been built at Fortify is one that is accepting of everybody, from boxers looking to compete, families taking self defense classes, exploring mma, getting your child active, etc. there is truly something for each and every person, and you will walk out the gym with two guarantees: you feeling great about yourself, and that feeling of needing to return because the experience is so enriching. Without Fortify, I would have not taken the next step in my boxing journey. Great gym!!!!

Fortify Fight Club is the best gym experience I have ever had. I had a big trip planned that I knew I wasn't in shape enough for and needed something that could really push me. I was also curious about trying boxing as I had no prior experience. The pad workout class is perfect for beginners learning how to even throw a punch, practicing combos, and if you put in the effort, it can be a very intense work out. After my first class I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. I have been going to this gym for over a year now. Following a diet plan and going to this gym regularly I managed to lose over 50lbs in my first 6 months and was absolutely ready for what was to come with my trip. This gym has a fantastic community, and all of the coaches are super friendly, great at teaching their classes, and give great motivation.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and genuine interest in my families goals. These guys are fantastic! As somebody new to this kind of thing, I had a lot of anxiety walking in to a mma/boxing type gym. The staff has done a wonderful job making me feel comfortable, and starting me out where I can really get to work. The personnel that you work with at the gym are great people too. These folks are the real deal and I would absolutely recommend to anybody. You won’t regret it!

I have been training martial arts for several years. I have had the honor of learning from excellent instructors; included in that list of instructors is Fortify's BJJ instructor, Matt Barnett. I attend his competition-team classes, and let me say: they are by far my best workout every week. Coach Matt has created a wonderful environment where safety, fun, perseverance, and striving for continuous improvement are at the forefront of every training session. I strongly recommend it!

I started training BJJ at Fortify about a month ago after a 2.5 year layoff. As a blue belt it’s common and even joked about in the BJJ community. However, everyone’s journey is unique. For me at 51 and having a demanding career it’s sometimes difficult to deal with the aches and pains and balancing training with the demands of work and family. It’s also intimidating to go back and restart training after a long break.I chose Fortify because of Matt Barnett who I used to train with when we were both white belts. Matt was a gifted athlete and BJJ practitioner and quickly moved up the ranks and recently earned his Blackbelt. Not only is Matt talented physically but he’s talented with interpersonal skills. I’ve never met someone more charismatic and selfless. Matt is a humble leader and makes everything about his students and teammates.I’ve been at BJJ off and on for nearly five years and I’ve never felt more comfortable in the gym and confident that I will be able to continue the journey through the remaining belts while at the same time being technically sound and a successful competitor.I highly encourage newcomers and anyone like me looking to get back in the gym to give Fortify a try.
