Never have I ever walked into an establishment and listened to an employee giving a member the fifth-degree about what he's there to do and that his membership is no good when it was clearly active. I thought she wasn't going to call the police for a moment only to have the comments continue in the locker room and negative remarks being made, untill he grab his stuff and left.. I think I will clearly be canceling my membership at this point. Our community needs major help.

I went to the gym earlier this year, and I had an overdue balance for the month of May. I was notified of the overdue balance by mail at the beginning of October. The balance was due by October 10th, and at the conclusion of the 10 days notice they sent my information to a collection agency. I didn't even have the time to get a paycheck to pay the balance. I didn't expect much from this business, but a little more notification would not have been too much to ask.

Discourteous front staff. Didn’t care to answer any questions about memberships. The individual at the desk literally was slumped over in his chair on his phone. It was clear that I was inconveniencing him, trying to learn more about the membership. I stayed to try to speak to Nina; she ignored me. I’m not going to waste my time describing that Situation. The only person who has actually been helpful is Mark Lhrke—- and I didn’t even meet him. I left him a voicemail complaining and telling him of the issue. He must’ve reached out to Nina because she called me and left a voicemail letting me know that someone would call about a membership later that day. Well, I never received that phone call. Clearly customer service, and being helpful, is not what this location strives for. Go to a different location.

The New Hope YMCA is in a great location, definitely an older building but all the equipment is top notch and well maintained. The gyms are also nice and well maintained with a track in the upper area of the gym. Unfortunately it's small, with 1 mile being 18 laps. Overall it's a quality facility that I enjoy having so close to where I live.

Staff are normally cool. Sometimes some areas throughout the building are dirty like the bathrooms. But overall its normally a good gym to workout. I also really like the hot tub and pool.

Started at the Y recently after switching from Lifetime. Nice staff and newer equipment. 2 improvements I would recommend is not charging for a silly "towel service" and just roll it into the monthly dues. Also the sauna could use more frequent cleaning, please! Otherwise it's been great gym. We take our kids to the Elk River Y and they love swimming and the Kids Stuff area is good to them.

The building itself may be a little old and institutional but the equipment is all new and technologically up to date. I never have trouble finding an open machine. The only time it is even remotely crowded is the first two weeks after new years when everyone tries to live their resolutions. The sports leagues are all great and the coaches are really good with the kids.

Great place to get some Mommy time while my toddler enjoys playing with the phenomenal staff in the kids place. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. The new equipment made it even better!!! Locker rooms and pool are always clean, the convenience of the family locker room is a plus. It's nice to have an affordable place that has standards better than alot of high priced big name gyms that I personally feel uncomfortable in. I have never felt uncomfortable and that is the first reason we joined, no matter what shape, size, or color your treated the same.

I can only speak about the pool/whirlpool as that is the only area I've used here. There is no zero-depth entry, but they have nice stairs down, and they clearly indicate which area of the pool is for free swim versus lap swim. The air is kept very warm and nice. The water in the whirlpool is very warm. It is a very large whirlpool with handicap accessibility. There is an outdoor splash pad but no outdoor pool. The family locker room is fairly large.
