The Steady State team was fantastic to work with! After struggling with knee pain and IT band related issues for over a year, I decided I wanted to be able to run again. I was recommended to Steady State by a friend, and it was just what I needed. After working with Brent for a few months, I built my strength back up and I'm running more than I have in the last few years. Even when I was having difficulties fitting my PT routine into my daily life, Brent very quickly adapted the routine and helped me build a lasting habit. An added bonus is that the whole team is fun and easy to connect with. I'd highly recommend Steady State to anyone!

All of the workers at Steady State are so friendly and amazing, but I have the honor of working with Ashten specifically each week. Ashten is so helpful in really listening and working with me to figure out what the best exercises are for my injury rehab, modifying the exercises in ways that I can do them if I don't have access to full gym equipment, and even worked with me to record myself doing them so I would remember what and how to do them outside of my appointments. She was so patient the whole time and was excited with me when we figured out what was working. I look forward to seeing her and the rest of the Steady State crew every week for strength training classes which are always a blast and super helpful!

ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENTS I HAVE EVER MADEI started seeing Ashten when I was halfway through my pregnancy. She helped me prepare for an amazing natural birth through pelvic floor therapy and a customized, guided strength training plan. I continued to see her through postpartum and am amazed at how seamless the transition into motherhood has been as far as strength and physical abilities go. Ashten always listens very actively and knows the right questions to ask. She goes the extra mile to help, even going so far as to hold my baby while I do the exercises in the clinic. (And as a side note, everyone in the clinic is very friendly and it is such a nice environment to spend time in.)I would recommend Steady State to anyone who is pregnant and is desiring to stay physically strong through their pregnancy and into postpartum.I plan to work with Ashten through all of my pregnancies!10/10

I've been working with Dr. Brent Underkoffler at Steady State during marathon training. I've been beyond pleased with my progress and especially happy with the difference I've noticed from incorporating a well thought out strength program. Steady State sets itself apart from other physical therapy practices. You have 1x1 individualized support, guidance, advice, and education from a doctor unlike several practices that are overflowing with patients. I am grateful for all I continue to learn during my sessions at Steady State. Many of the exercises will now be part of my running routine so I can run for life.

Steady State has changed my life - both physically and mentally. They have helped me understand that I am an athlete! At 41 years old - I can still breakdown insecurities and build confidence - I can do hard things and with Ashten’s help I know that anything is possible! The tools I’ve added to my belt will last my lifetime and will only help me to continue getting stronger! When I started seeing Ashten, I had recurring challenges getting in the way of me reaching my goals. My sore knee always nagged me, I thought I had “problem” feet, somewhat regular lower back and neck niggles that I just assumed were all part of me being me…. Getting old?! Every time I increased my mileage or activity level, these things would pile up at the expense of reaching my goals.Working with Ashten, I learned that my goals are important and real! That movement is medicine! Niggles are important to listen to - but they won’t stop me from striving for bigger things! The spots needed attention - and Ashten has been teaching me how to help myself! Working with Steady State has created a greater sense of empowerment in how I use and challenge my body. I honestly feel stronger than ever.Strength + movement + Steady State’s amazing experts = finishing my first marathon! Also finishing 6 mountain races! Who would have thought?!I truly feel that with the amazing teaching and support that Ashten (& Brent) have provided me - I’ve leveled up at life! I’m ready to strive for more challenging goals and know that I have the tools to help me reach them… and if I don’t - help is just a phone call away!

When I first came to Steady State, I wasn't sure about my cross-country season or my ability to perform my favorite sport. I had been dealing with knee issues for months, and I hadn't found a solution to them. After coming to Steady State, Kelton introduced me to a new way of recovering from injuries unlike any other PT specialist I have had before. In the preseason and during my season, Kelton helped me stay healthy, adapt my running plan, and build strength that set me up well for the season. I scarcely thought I would be able to do anything at the start of the season, but by the end, I broke PRs and felt great! I believe Kelton is responsible for my running abilities and my great season, and I would highly recommend Steady State to any person seeking great Physical Therapy.

Steady State for the win! When I came to Kelton, I had a severe hamstring tendinopathy on both hamstrings. I was unable to run, squat or lift weights without a significant amount of discomfort and had limited mobility. Kelton scheduled a very thorough in person evaluation and then created a personalized PT rehab program to get me back in the game. With consistent rehab and follow up I was able to strengthen the hamstring, increase my strength, and get back to what I love to do-hiking. A summer rehab protocol with Steady State allowed me to ultimately reach my goal of hiking 500 miles in Spain on the Camino de Santiago this past September. I could not have done it without Kelton, and neither should you! Get in there, get the work done and get back to your old self again!

Couldn't reccomend Steady State more strongly. I came to them after weeks of hip pain that ultimately caused me to stop running. They were able to help diagnose the problem, develop a strength and return to run program, and now I'm stronger than I was before the injury. The whole team is wonderful and kind, and really patient centered.

I arrived at this office completely discouraged by my chronic lower back pain and a complicated compensation pattern in my gait that developed over years of running through injury. After countless visits with multiple sports doctors, chiropractors and three other PT practices, I was ready to give up my sport. Thankfully, I got in contact with Kelton before I did. From our first phone consultation, I was immediately impressed by Kelton's generosity with his time and attention as we explored my running history and sought solutions together. He developed a plan specific to my unique needs and following it consistently has produced results unlike any other program I've followed. While many of the initial aches and pains of mine are now resolved, I am continuing monthly PT at Steady State because I know I will be a stronger, happier and more confident runner with this partnership. Plus, they're great people and office visits are always fun! Highly recommend their services to other active people, especially runners.
