I arrived at this office completely discouraged by my chronic lower back pain and a complicated compensation pattern in my gait that developed over years of running through injury. After countless visits with multiple sports doctors, chiropractors and three other PT practices, I was ready to give up my sport. Thankfully, I got in contact with Kelton before I did. From our first phone consultation, I was immediately impressed by Kelton's generosity with his time and attention as we explored my running history and sought solutions together. He developed a plan specific to my unique needs and following it consistently has produced results unlike any other program I've followed. While many of the initial aches and pains of mine are now resolved, I am continuing monthly PT at Steady State because I know I will be a stronger, happier and more confident runner with this partnership. Plus, they're great people and office visits are always fun! Highly recommend their services to other active people, especially runners.

Working with steady state has been awesome - I started out coming there as I always had random injuries (hips, it band, peroneals), after working with Kelton we were able to determine the reason was because mainly due to weakness in those areas. Through a variety of different strengthening exercises over the past year I have been relatively injury free - if something small creeps up, we discuss and are able to strengthen that area for a quick recovery.Overall the experience has been really good and Kelton is really knowledgable. I always thought massage and soft tissue breakup was the key but in reality, its strength training and making your legs be able to handle the load you put on them. The hardest part was trusting this process, it took me about 6-8 months before I realized I no longer need a variety of massage work to feel better.Would recommend any runner or athlete to go see steady state!

Look no further... the Steady State team is it! They strike the perfect balance between skilled professionalism and easygoing warmth that makes me feel comfortable and empowered. Between PT with Kelton and strength training with Ashten, I feel like my running future looks brighter after every visit. We're so lucky to have them as a resource in our community!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Cullenberg PT -- Kelton and Ashten are kind, engaging, responsive, flexible, and both so incredibly knowledgable. They helped me get back on my feet faster than I thought was possible after a knee injury this Spring. Now I am stronger than ever. You will not regret working with the Cullenbergs!

Working with Ashten has been such a breath of fresh air from my previous PT experiences. The 1 on 1 support has been so crucial for me in recovering from my injury. Ashten is thorough in her evaluation and her interventions focus heavily on returning to optimal functioning in daily life. She has given me the confidence to work out again and return to physical activities outdoors which I am SO grateful for. Ashten often makes time for me in her schedule and answers any questions I have throughout the week as I am independently performing my exercises. Ashten’s profound kindness and in depth knowledge of all things PT has made me trust her completely during my healing process.I highly recommend Ashten or Kelton!

Last winter, I was worried I was not going to meet my summer goals due to a pretty painful bout of plantar fasciitis. After working with Kelton for a few months, I not only was able to hike again pain free, but exceeded my goals and climbed the highest peaks in New England (Washington, Adams, and Katahdin)! My feet felt amazing all summer long!!

Ashten and Kelton are true professionals in their field. Whenever we have a conversation about therapy they are always a few steps ahead of me and ask me tons of questions to get a quality picture of where I am at. Ashten's knowledge of providing therapy for my condition has me relaxed in knowing that I am taking the right steps to recover and get back to running. I know that I'm in good hands and feel confident about the progress I have made under their care. It also helps that they are both high level athletes, so I know that I am working with the right folks. If you are looking for high quality physical therapy in Southern Maine, look no further!

I was ready to have surgery on my foot this fall. I have been running in pain for over seven years. Kelton has given me the exercises and tools I needed to be pain free and keep me from having bunion and haglunds surgery. I'm so thrilled to be able to continue playing in the mountains without pain or having time away to recover from surgery.

OUTSTANDING!! I'm a middle of the pack marathoner, if not hobby jogger, with essentially no experiencing lifting weights who developed a shoulder injury after joining a program to pass the US Navy Diver Qualifications. Ashten was able to isolate my weak muscles and build a progressive plan to strengthen them. Steady State seems to have perfected the balance between PT-related rehab and performance-related pre-hab. I was new to PT and I really benefited from someone showing me how to do exercises correctly and effectively. My shoulder now feels bulletproof and when I work out I can focus on the task at hand, not worrying about injury. Incidentally, after overcoming injury, I feel like I carry my shoulders better and I feel more confident and relaxed on a day-to-day basis. Really awesome business that I 10/10 recommend!!
