They do the absolute bare minimum with every aspect of the y. They say hi to you when you walk in here and there and that’s about it. They have one of the meanest mangers iv ever met in my life working right behind the front desk. Her horrible personality is just sprinkling down to any employee that is in her path. Place needs a giant refresh and some new faces.

Disgusting attitude from staff. The place has gone down tremendously in terms of cleanliness, kindness & organisation. Rarely pick up phones and never have direct answers. A grown women that works there with hazelnut hair has the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered. Never coming here again! You’ve lost a yearly member and every contact I know. Had a 5 star review placed, replaced with this one after the consistent mistreatment this gym offers. The lifeguards there are good otherwise horrible branch that put a bad name to YMCA.

The variety of programs with something that appeals to a wide audience. The Trainers in the Cardio Rehab program encourage the participants to advance their personal goals. It was great to be in the program post my aneurysm repair & feel confident that the staff worked to build my confidence to meet & exceed my rehab exercise goals.

This facility is one of the worst if not the worst I dealt with. I canceled the membership and still being charged on my credit card. And the staff have no desire to help. The only reason I gave it a one star is because it would not allow me to post this without selecting a star.

I LOVE the SSYMCA. It brings me so much joy and is basically the only thing I make time to do outside of work these days. Their instructors are phenomenal - I found my favorite classes / instructors ever. The pool is also perfect - it's the first heated pool I've ever used. Also everyone I've met here, including those who work here and gym goers, is so nice. The overall culture is great.I talk about how much I love the SSYMCA to everyone I know every chance I get, because I'm just that obsessed with it. I used to belong to Equinox, and I like the SSYMCA better. So it's better than a luxury gym.

I was deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the Quincy YMCA. As a loyal member of the YMCA for years, I've never experienced such inconsistency in membership policies. At other YMCA locations, scanning your membership card is all that's required, but at the Quincy location, outside members have to go through a profiling process and show their ID each time they enter the facility. This unnecessary hassle can create an unwelcoming and uncomfortable experience for loyal members who just want to work out and feel well. Moreover, I can't help but feel that this is a tactic to get more members to cancel their memberships from outside YMCA locations and join the Quincy YMCA instead. This creates a sense of unfairness and discourages members from feeling valued and appreciated. Additionally, I noticed that members of the Quincy YMCA were allowed to walk in without any extra steps required, creating an inconsistency in the membership policy. Furthermore, this may potentially fall under discrimination and violate Massachusetts law on improper asking for identification, as the reason for requesting the ID is not to protect anyone but rather for malicious profiling reasons, such as assuming that the membership card may not belong to the individual using it.I urge the management at the Quincy YMCA to review their policies and procedures to ensure that all members have a consistent and welcoming experience, regardless of the location they signed up for. Members should be able to work out and feel well without any additional barriers or inconveniences. The YMCA should be a place that supports its members, not one that creates unnecessary hurdles for them. DO BETTER!

For regular members using family pool has become nightmare, we gotta wait till ever sessions are done who have paid extra money. Why should common people suffer and wait and why can’t the swim sessions be managed better.By 5:30 we don’t want to see a board with “At capacity” or “session in progress “, our time is also limited and we are also paying good money for family membership.

What can I say! Staff lack info, motivation to help and actually to work, dealt with them 5 minutes and I can say Quincy YMCA is a toxic environment, I enrolled my son into spring swim program which actually exist only in the system and none of the staff knows about it, before going to the class I did call front desk to ensure there is a class and SHERI MCKINNEY confirmed there is a class and after going there they asked me to go check with the life guard about the class, so actually they are asking me to figure out what and where! to mu surprise life guard told me there is no such class and it's a glitch in the system and here comes the SHERI MCKINNEY again, with zero patience to talk or at least show some concern about the inconvenience we had, I don't know what qualifies them as the membership experience team!! will give it few more days and if things doesn't improve then will cancel my family membership.
