24 Hour Fitness in Manhattan Beach offers a comprehensive workout experience with a range of equipment and friendly staff. Despite its smaller size, it provides ample opportunities for cardio, free weights, and classes. However, the gym lacks some advertised amenities, like a pool, and has cleanliness issues, particularly in the men's locker room.

This location is not open 24 hours which has frustrated some members, especially since it was previously a 24-hour facility. If you prioritize accessibility and a helpful community, this gym might suit your needs, but be aware of its shortcomings in maintenance and amenities.

Pros:

  • Comprehensive range of equipment.
  • Friendly and professional staff.
  • Convenient parking.
  • Class offerings with separate rooms.
  • Not too crowded during certain times.
  • Affordable membership prices.
  • Clean workout areas.
  • Welcoming atmosphere.
  • Nearby amenities for a complete visit.

This place during the afternoon and after work absolutely WREAKS of BO, feces, and bacteria not even joking. I've had to leave a few times because the smell is so strong it makes you want to vomit. Especially in the weights area and men's locker room, don't even bother going during normal hours.

This gym is absolutely filthy, from disgusting bathrooms with dead bugs, feces all over the toilets, and pubic hairs clogging up the showers, this location has it all. If you aren't careful you'll get a sraph infection from the equipment or fungus from the filthy showers. The equipment is seriously out of date, and this place usually smells so bad you want to throw up, just ask the regular members. What this location really needs is a serious upgrading. It's well over 25 years old and half of the equipment is seriously broiken, No wonder half of their clients left when Bay Club opened acorss the street. The problem isn't the staff, it's the cheapskate owner of the location who is far too cheap to put the money into upgrading the location. However if they don't upgrade this location, then other competing gyms like LA FItness, Bay Club and others will steal all of their regular clients.THIS GYM NEEDS A SERIOUS UPGRADE AND FAST, REPLACE ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT AND REMODEL BOTH OF THE BATHROOMS FAST!

Its not so bad, but I prefer hermosa beach. This location has both pros and cons.Pros: Everything is really close to you and they even have a digital weight scale. People actually clean their benches. Staff are pretty dope.Cons: Dont go on a monday to this location. Ever. The whole weight side is completely taken and nothing is available including the treadmills. Broken machines take longer to be fixed than someone trying to receive citizenship in the united states. Its really small and no space to work out. The restrooms stink like someone vaporized a nice fish filet that sat in the sun for a couple days. For quick workouts its fine. Especially if its just running. Dont ever go between 00:00am to 23:45pm. Too packed.

First time I rate a 24 so low people are really nice workers are great but the gym is wayyyyyyy to small. This gym is a port level gym not a super sport. They have no pool or sauna or jaccusy this place was a downer and I love 24 even when it's not as clean but there worker are kind just this facility lacks for a super sport. I changing the one start to two because of their worker but other then that this place sucks.

Go during off-peak hours and you'll be happier. There isn't a ton of equipment but I've never had to wait here. The women's bathroom is always clean, even if a door's lock has been broken for months.

I started going here when it was a Sport (the regular kind). However, they have upgraded to a Super-Sport (premium rate) without actually adding anything. Makes no sense. Unlike other Super-Sport locations, there is no pool, it's small, low ceiling, and has consistently dirty bathroom/shower conditions. The ventilation is especially awful, which is compounded by this small low-ceiling location being frequently crowded at peak hours. Equipment is frequently broken for several weeks. I used to go here with it was just a regular Sport location, and I would give it a 3/5 for still functioning as a gym with helpful staff and facilities. But if they want to charge for being a Super Sport, without actually adding anything, immediate 1/5 stars. You can do so much better at other 24 hour locations, and unfortunately, this joke of a location is the one closest to me. I'm probably going to drive to further locations just to have a more pleasant experience.
