Having our girls join this program is one of the best decisions we have ever made. They have learned so much and have more confidence. They have such an encouraging environment. Always pushing their students to not give up and as long as you practice and not give up, you will reach your goal. Not only do they encourage families to train together, but it is run by a family and you can tell that everyone loves what they do and love seeing their students every day.

Hi I’m Cristian Sánchez from Ascend Martial in Selma California.I wanna shoutout Mr.Cancino the Cancino family and Miss Dayao all they have done for us in California. The support and the High standards they hold us to makes not just me but a lot of us wanna Ascend in not just martial arts but in life. For me Martial arts is a way out is stead of being a liability to my community I’m able to be an asset to my community. So thank you Mr.Cancino and the Cancino family can’t forget miss Dayao for giving us a family to be apart of !#teamascend

Ascend Martial Arts is a phenomenal place to train! My children joined back in 2018. It was only a matter of time before I did to! The instructors truly care about each and every student. They instill discipline, respect, and confidence into everyone who steps on the mat. While recovering from an injury, they worked with me within my physical limitations so I could still train. It meant the world to me. If you are looking for a welcoming martial arts community that will push you to be your best self, look no further. This place is for you.

My daughter has been a member of Ascend since the first week of May. She says it’s challenging, fun, and she loves how kind and helpful all of the instructors are. As a parent who hangs out for nearly every class, I’m impressed by their attentiveness to every student, no matter the size of the classes, which can go up to 40!Overall, her fellow students are also kind and helpful.

My son enjoys it, very focus, very intense, even loves watching various styles of martial arts movies with me (thinking he maybe Bruce Lee / IP man incarnate). Besides that, the weapons they like to force in their training regime are inadequate, inappropriate, especially the use of Kamas. You don't carry these items within public, nor to school, nor to an airport, an utter nonsense to teach other than take up time, monthly time you pay for this type of schooling, lost pay.Defensive & offensive maneuvers are best to learn as is taught in military / guerrilla warfare (even by Ipman (Wing Cun) / Bruce Lee (Jeet koon do) himself); hence 4.5 Stars given. It's there, but not all there.

The family is great, they are so constructive, place smells great and is most certainly clean to the T. Lots of help for the kids. I love that respect is the basis. My son had a blast and the prices are great! I can't wait for next week already!

An awesome school with an amazing staff. Every instructor is so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. You really get the feeling that teaching martial arts is life to them and just not a job. If you are thinking about taking martial arts or putting your children into martial arts you will not find a better school.
