My 3 daughters and I have been students at ATA Cancino's Black Belt Academy since February 2019. Mr. Cancino and his instructors are very dedicated. Even during this crazy pandemic, I am amazed at how committed they are to teach and motivate us through zoom and covid safety protocol abiding in-person instructions. I am very grateful that my daughters and I can look forward to the classes and keep ourselves in shape. If you are shopping around for a martial art classes to join, look no further. You won't find anyone more dedicated and motivating than ATA Cancino's Black Belt Academy.

There are so many reasons why this gym is the best martial arts in Reno: the overall sense of community amongst the families and instructors; the team provides the best advice in bully prevention and boosting confidence through physical fitness; and it doesn't hurt that they are one of the top ranked schools in competitive ATA (taekwondo) tournaments. Kids have the best after-school activity while adults can be fit and learn how to protect themselves. I'm so glad I'm back on my black belt journey with this team.

When it comes to self defense this is a good school to learn. They have an intresting program. The owner of this branch is good. Subordinates are bad in a sense of disrespectful.The service went bad cause of the subordinates.I maybe 1 of 10,000 who got the bad experience after almost a year but still there's always the first.This is a new review for them.

My daughter has been coming here for a little over a month now and she just loves it. I'm glad the teachers are so hands on with all students and they boost them up. I can't wait till my son is old enough to take classes. ☺♥

We have been with Cancino’s for over 3 years with all 3 of our children. We love it because it does not just focus on the martial arts aspect but also talks about communication, belief, respect, self-esteem, discipline, and honesty. They also talk a lot about grades and listening to parents each week. I am a firm believer that it takes a village to raise a kid and I am glad that I have Cancino’s as part of my village.

If I could give this school any more stars I definitely would! I've met so many amazing people and have learned many amazing life skills including leadership and self-esteem. The school is extremely clean and the staff are world class instructors.
