Day one, I was informed that due to the day camp director being very strict I needed to show ID to pick up my child, great. They take my ID and use it to double check the checkout list. The next day the director Jamila is completing check out, she glances at my ID, doesn't take it. Concerned, I asked her if she knew what name she was looking for, she then asks for my ID and actually uses it to check the list. Today, it was not my day to pick up my child. I find out at 730 from my child's grandmother that no one had picked her up yet. I call and talk to Jamila, she tells me she called once and it went straight to voice-mail. She then became argumentative, I understand she's got a job to do so I let her explain herself but she won't let me complete a sentence. My only goal was to have her acknowledge that her and her team will complete contact in the future and not at 7pm, hence stating this Jamila puts the phone on speaker and ignores me each time I repeat myself. I have to repeat her name several times and she still refuses to communicate. It was like speaking with someone who is refusing to coordinate.Extremely poor attitude, good planning, horrible execution. Extremely disappointing.

Highland YMCA is ok.Most of the employees are helpful and friendly. A few need some lessons in customer service for sure. The gym is small, but gets the job done.Pool is really only for the elderly and super young. It's not big at all and I believe it's only 4 or 5 feet deep. Also their kids center/daycare is super small compared to other locations. The YMCA in Redlands is way better for aquatic classes and their gym is better too. They have basketball and a few other kid activities here that are pretty cool.Overall not my favorite YMCA

Staff are really friendly but that’s it for positives for me. I signed my son up for parent and child swim lessons it’s a complete waste of money and time they hire teenagers who just stand there while your baby splashes. They’re not really learning anything and the young instructors don’t give much direction or teaching, I can go to my own pool to watch my baby splash for free. Also called to speak with the director to cancel my membership which he promised would be canceled and refunded but it’s been over 2 months and not only did I not receive a refund but I’m still getting charged!

Just wanted to take the time and give props to Sean, Alvin and the entire Highland YMCA staff for being fabulous. Not only do they work fearlessly to keep each basketball season going consistently but, also care about the children and families that attend daily! My son recently misplaced his phone and was absolutely devastated about it. Sean and staff worked with us to help locate the phone. The phone hunt ended successfully thanks to the quick efforts and follow up of staff. I’m grateful and humbled by attention dedicated to resolving the issue! Keep up the great work , you all are doing an awesome job

The place is dirty and is being run by very rude people. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. Flies everywhere while even walking thru. It did have a very nasty musty smell as well

Watching my grandson game. The red squad team parent was very aggressive during the game. This is 6 and 7 years playing. No need for all the yelling she was doing.

I went to the Highland branch on 6/22/17 and I did find it nicer than the one in San Bernardino, but the reason why I am giving a two star rating is the lack of customer service. Smile when you greet guest/patrons. Have a little bit of a …

Been working out here for a couple of months and have no complaints at all. The membership costs are very affordable and the gym has everything you need to get a good workout. The environment is very calm and relaxed with mostly elderly members and families in the mornings when I work out. The staff are always polite and cordial despite other reviewers complaints that honestly are expecting too much. It's just the Y, you go there to work out and then you leave; it doesn't need to be anymore than that. If you live in the area and are looking for a low cost gym to work out or play a few games of basketball in, I'd recommend this Y.
