Great facility and friendly staff. They have a large pool, basketball courts, and two gym areas with pretty much everything you’d need.

It’s a decent sized Y with all the standards you’d expect at any other YMCA across the country but their morning routine is finicky and there’s a decent chance the overnight staff will lock the doors up requiring a manager to show up 1-2 hours after they were supposed to open while you wait outside.

Great facility! Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. I’ve gone to many different group classes (yoga, stretch, cycle) and always have a good experience. Genuine pillar of the community and Richmond institution. Glad to have a strong YMCA in my neighborhood!

Was in town visiting my cousins and used my National YMCA pass. Gym was nice and well equipped. Friendly workers. Sauna / shower area literally smelled like someone had explosive diarrhea. I asked a few of the regulars and they both told me it was often smelly like that in the locker room.

Rose Marie Germanis, exec. director, is a poor representation of an incredible nonprofit organization that has been a loving safe environment to my family for more than two decades. Rose Marie displayed a shamefully considerable amount of hostility exhibiting prejudice, and discriminatory behaviors, of immense passive- aggressive harassment towards me.I was harassed multiple times to take a photo even after Rose Marie and myself agreed it would be acceptable for me to take it on my next visit. I was not feeling amazing and wanted to work out quickly as I was in a time crunch. Needless to say I did not receive my work out that day but I did receive immense embarrassment of discrimination in her attempts to use inhumane prejudicial behaviors to keep me captive with condescending repetitiveness. Rose Marie's behavior was not only insulting but I truly believe had I been white, she would not have discharged such immense passive-aggressive harassment towards me a person of whom she had never interacted with prior. Since we had never had an encounter, my physical appearance, being multi-ethnic was the only noticeable factor in her demeaning, self-serving resentment, and attitude toward a minority, or individual, of mixed ethnicity.Rose Marie Germanis exhibited unfair prejudicial practices on me and I was deeply offended. I however experienced nothing of the sort from countless other staff. All of the others were friendly, fair, and not racist. I like the location but please be advised of Rose Marie's behaviors and do share with others because it is our responsibility as responsible citizens to call out such unfairness and discriminations. For the YMCA to be a non-profit organization open to all people, and committed to social responsibility. It is clear to say, executive director Rose Marie Germanis, did not exercise any of these endearing values, rather opting to lead out with hostility and seeping hatred.Hope this review kindly helps an individual or a family with something they may have encountered.

Great small cozy gym. Less gym equipments, also hours are little tricky, close early and also closed during lunch time. But still a 5 star for convenience of location. Nice bathrooms, you can take private bath, very convenient.

All new and NICE. Really small workout space but great equipment. Indoor pool only for laps and play (but should make appt.) Free nursery! I don't know all the details but our 7 yr old stayed and watched a movie. At times I couldn't get through on the phone. Good summer camp and lots of classes and sports for adults and kids (extra).
