If you’re Interested in martial arts and shopping around for your child, look no further. I cannot say enough great things about Maldonado ATA Martial Arts. It is a family-owned and operated business (for the most part) and after a few short weeks, you’ll feel like part of the Maldonado family too. I have 2 boys in the Tiger program and they love going to class. In just 6 months my boys are more disciplined, more respectful and more confident in themselves than they have ever been. Not to mention, they can now throw a pretty mean punch and kick. The program is extremely well planned and the progression through the different belts and levels teaches them the value of hard work and dedication. And most importantly, it’s FUN!

I have no previous martial arts experience, when I suddenly one day felt I should be training myself with it. The first day i walked in i told Mrs. Maldanado, how nervous and intimidated i am. She made me feel comfortable and the kind words of the instructor soon made me at ease. This is a family run institution and that makes it very special. We feel very warm and welcomed, and in less than a month this has become my happy place ❤️. In my class there a students who are teenagers to adults of all ages, belts ranging from white to different degrees of black, but everyone is treated fair and equal and with lots of respect. Now about the training, Maldanados are highly professional, well skilled , good teachers and very well grounded. I highly recommend this place .

My son loves Maldonado ATA Martial Arts. He has been going there for the past 2 years. I can see how he gets involved when his instructor is teaching him. The instructors are all dedicated and patient with the kids. Along with martial arts they also teach confidence, self respect and other soft skills which are so necessary to be successful.One recommendation is that during testing, let's make sure the kids are demonstrating several skills before they are moved to the next belt. This will make sure that the kids also practice outside the class.I would recommend parents to consider Maldonado ATA Martial Arts.

After calling around to different schools in the area and reading reviews, I decided to take my 10-year-old daughter for a free trial at Maldonado ATA Martial Arts. We were greeted and well received once we walked through the door. My daughter is bit shy and reserved when first meeting new people, but they immediately made her feel welcomed and guided her through her first class. I was in Taekwondo as a child myself when I was around her age, so I have some experience with martial arts classes. I was very impressed with the instructors' ability to connect with the kids and how much my daughter loved it. She immediately told me that she wanted to go back. We were provided some pricing information, but I really appreciated that we weren't pressured into signing up for anything that day. Since my daughter insisted that she wanted to return, I signed up for a short trial because I was wanted to see if her interest would fade before making a longer commitment. I have enrolled her in music lessons and soccer, but she didn't enjoy those activities as much as Taekwondo. I offered to take her to try out some other schools in the area, but she liked ATA Maldonado Martial Arts so much that she only wanted to go there. After the trial ended I signed her up for a year because she really enjoys it and looks forward to her classes. I enjoy seeing her at home practicing her forms and kicks. I have seen her confidence and discipline increase. Also, the Maldonados are great people who truly care about their students. You can trust that they are in good hands. During class, my daughter was accidentally kicked in her knee during a drill and she was in a bit of pain. Mrs. Maldonado immediately grabbed an ice pack and helped my daughter recover from the kick. Mrs. Maldonado gave my daughter the option to return to the class when she felt ready and also told her that she was free to go home. I was thinking that maybe my daughter would want to go home, but she insisted on returning to finish up the lesson. My daughter was a bit embarrassed for shedding a few tears in class, but then Mr. Maldonado reassured her that it was perfectly normal to cry and that she had no reason to feel embarrassed.TLDR: Maldonado ATA Martial Arts is a great school run by great people. My daughter loves it and maybe your child will too. You have nothing to lose by checking them out for a trial class!

Thier classes for tiger cubs is really engaging, challenging and fun - both for parents and kids. They have flexible evening schedule and very qualified instructors. Classes are never overcrowded and fees are also very reasonable.

Our 8 year old son loves going to Maldonado ATA. We see improvement in his confidence and he is really opening up in groups where he used to be very shy and quiet. His focus and ability to pay attention has improved as well. Schedule is very flexible and so convenient to accomodare any unplanned changes. Love the way how kids are taught to respect and value each other. Instructors and whole team is very helpful , patient and friendly. Highly recommend.

Classes are never overcrowded and fees are also very reasonable. Location is convenient for errands. There is plenty of seating in the class and never feels cramped.
