I was in a major car accident several years ago and sustained multiple compound fractures. I use to exercise regularly prior to the accident. I finally decided I need to get started again for my health & to strengthen my leg so I can start hiking again. The personal training has been amazing. Nick pushed me to up my fitness goals and in March I was able to hike in Diablo Canyon. This is the first real hike since the accident. Working out with Nick has been a great decision. He knows about injuries & now I can get back to the the things I love in the great outdoors.

I’m a 37 year old male. Prior to training, I weighed 283 pounds. My blood pressure was 150/90. I was routinely suffering from embarrassing injuries that would result in not being able to keep up at work. And my diet of whiskey and frozen pizza was neither sustainable nor advisable.With Nick’s instruction, expertise, and encouragement, my weight is down to 257 lbs. and my BP is 112/74. I haven’t missed any work due to injury. And I’ve learned many exercises and nutritional strategies that I would not have found otherwise, rifling through the absolute worst pockets of the internet for quick-fixes and magic bullets.Before training with Nick, I’d gained and lost approximately 100 pounds on three separate occasions. None of it was enjoyable. And, with hindsight, I wouldn’t consider any of my previous attempts at weight loss as having come from a healthy approach to fitness.Nick knows how to design a customized training program, tailored to your needs, that maximizes results while prioritizing safety. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Nick over 9 months to meet my fitness goals. Given my first time weight lifting, I have been grateful for Nick’s patience and encouragement. Not only is it fun and challenging, but I can see results and have more stamina. In addition, group kick-boxing with my daughter (18) has been a wonderful surprise. Originally way out of my comfort zone, it is totally fun and a great workout. Nick is an excellent personal trainer- his positive attitude is contagious!

Nick is a phenomenal trainer. My wife and I started training with Nick about six months ago in preparation for our wedding. Neither of us had much experience with strength training so we were nervous, but Nick made the entire process easy to understand. We've loved the strength building program that Nick designed for us and have both seen pretty dramatic results in a short time. Plus he's hilarious and fun to hang out with. Can't recommend Nick enough!

I had an overall great experience working with Nick! Nick was my first personal trainer, and from the start, he listened to my needs and goals in order to craft workouts that would best align with these goals. I was new to personal training and hadn’t really worked out in the gym previously, but Nick kindly explained each exercise and kept me accountable throughout the program. Keeping up with workouts wasn’t easy, but I definitely saw positive effects of working out through my increase in stamina and strength. I could tell Nick wanted all of his clients to become healthier and achieve their goals. Nick is very good at what he does!

Between the pandemic, sprained ankle, and a newborn, I had been very inactive and out of shape for the last two years. I'm generally not a fan of the gym and had never done personal training, but decided to give it a shot to get back on track and just feel generally healthier. I read through the profiles and chose Nicholas because of his background in physical therapy and injuries. When I met with him, he was thorough in reviewing my goals and coming up with a plan that would help me with my goals yet take into account my past injuries. He has also had some injuries himself so I trust his judgment and recommendations.Since starting his program in July, I've lost weight, my clothes fit better, I feel healthier, and I'm finally starting to understand what a "strong core" means. What I like best about my sessions with Nicholas is that he tends to explain WHY you are doing a certain exercise, what it does, what it doesn't, and how to improve your form to maximize your workout. He's pretty intuitive on what will work for your current fitness status, and while he likes to push you, he knows when to stop or take a step back based on your performance. I have also really appreciated his flexibility with my crazy schedule and his willingness to do make-up sessions to make sure I don't get too off track in case I miss several sessions.I would highly recommend Nicholas as a personal trainer if you want somebody who is really knowledable and adaptable to your goals and abilities.

I've been training with Nicholas for 3 months and we've built a strong and trusting trainer-trainee relationship. I was hesitant to work with a male at first, but he eased all of my discomfort with his level of professionalism and care. His approach to fitness is top-notch-- balancing healthy new challenges each session, with opportunities to master familiar exercises so I can take pride in my progress. He considers both my current and desired future state when communicating the "why" behind selected workouts, and he has gone above and beyond to help me stay accountable on "off days". I began my journey with lots of insecurities and only focused on size and weight. Nicholas has taught me to focus on my health and as a result, I've had a major shift in mindset. Now, I want to be STRONG-- and as a result my body is getting tight and firm in all of the right places. You can't have my time slots, but I do highly recommend working with Nicholas. He'll meet you where you are and get you where you want to be -- so long as you're willing to put in the work!

Nicholas is an excellent trainer. I started training with Nicholas because I wanted to get stronger and I was having back problems from work. Nicholas is great at listening to your goals and your limitations. He believes in fitness for all, not just for athletes, and lives that in his training with all his clients. Nicholas is very professional and communicative and will absolutely help you reach your goals. I've been with him for over a year now and am constantly amazed at the results he has created.

I have been training with Nicholas for a couple of years and have seen remarkable improvement in my overall health. As a 69 year old woman, there are exercises that I can and cannot do. Nicholas tailors each workout to my particular strengths and weaknesses. He takes a holistic approach to working with his clients. Each session, we discuss not only the workout but also nutrition and general well-being. It is obvious to me that Nicholas puts a great deal of thought and care into an individualized plan for me. He manages to introduce variety into our sessions while still maintaining enough consistency to gauge progress on a particular skill. Nicholas is also personable, funny and interesting to talk to. He makes working with a trainer as fun and interesting. I highly recommend Nicolas to anyone thinking of selecting a personal trainer regardless of age or fitness level.

I've been working with Nicholas for about 2 years now, and have not had a second thought that this has been a positive influence in my life. He has a great sense of professionalism and passion for kinesthetics and training that has challenged and motivated me to continue reaching for my fitness goals. He is always keeping his clients and their own goals in mind. After my first year of training, I asked to change the focus of my training with some new goals and Nicholas was ready with a new program starting from the next session. You get as much as you put in, and Nicholas has a knack for pushing you to your greater potential while keeping your health and safety a top priority. While I have learned so much from when I first started, it's hard to think of exercise sessions without his guidance.
