Show up to swim class one day with the instructor asking my child to wait for the next class instead. It wasn’t asking really because we didn’t have a choice. Okay that’s nice of you to change my child swim time without prior notice. Since we waited so long for the next class, we decided to free swim a little to kill time. As soon as the kids stepped in the pool the lifeguard started screaming at them to get out. My child’s got so embarrassed they never wanted to go back again so we skipped our remaining lessons. Couldn’t you just let the child know not to be in the water nicely? It wasn’t like they were resisting arrest!

Visited this location while here on vacation. It’s a really nice gym, was very busy but still lots of equipment available. It’s mainly due to summer camp. They have many amenities to use including two pools. Clean gym and nice area.

probably one of the best YMCA locations in San Diego, but they should really consider allowing employee lounge access for the summer camp volunteers. I go here to do homework while my kids stay in the child watch area, and sometimes I spend at least a good 30 minutes waiting for a table to become available because they’re all being occupied by camp volunteers 😫

Good amount of gym equipment, indoor basketball courts, and awesome pools. However, rates are a bit expensive at $60+ for individual. Also difficult to reach staff at front desk by phone. I canceled my membership bu email as listed on their website, but no one replied to me. Had to go in to cancel, and would've been billed again it hadn't done that.Overall good facility and equipment for everyone, but a bit too expensive and not so great service.

I was a visitor to Dan Diego and was here to use the pool for a couple days. Was greeted and taken care of by John at front desk; he was so patient and friendly at 5 AM! The facility was very clean and organized. Great outdoor pool and the indoor was very warm (too warm for distance laps so outdoor is better). Also you get two visits for free! How awesome is that! Thanks Mission Valley Y!!

Staff is always nice and professional. I do think it's a bit pricy given the state of some of the equipment, bathrooms, and water fountains though. I wish they'd put a bit more into maintenance since they keep raising the price.

We love everything about the gym. The staff is amazing, especially the childcare staff! Even the members are kind! Additionally, the facility is always kept clean. I would highly recommend the Y!

Great gym for the young and the old. Well-kept machines and locker room.If you are in you 20's look at 24 hour Fitness or LA Fitness which has classes which are geared toward the young adult.
