The gym's staff is friendly and accommodating, making it a decent choice for those seeking an accessible workout spot close to home. However, numerous reviews highlight significant issues with cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and overcrowding, which can detract from the overall experience.

My favorite part about the sister 24 Hour Fitnesses in the bay is their variety of training machines and equipment that continue to impress! With outstanding tools comes accelerated results both in terms of health, wealth, and the pursuit of happiness. Thank you all faculty especially Ocean Avenue for a fantastic first time in San Francisco’s sister location!

My phone was stolen at 24 hour fitness - Ocean ave San Francisco on Sunday June 19th 22 in the pool area and the gym is refusing to show the video footage. The person responsible said it’s not her problem, not her responsibility, very rude person, not helpful at all.The day that happened they’re all like “we’ll help you, don’t worry, but we don’t have acess right now, the person will be here on Monday” then when I came back things changed, now they know who did it probably, after checking the videos and now they said they won’t help. Watch out when you go there.

Not a safe place. It's the second time I've been robbed. This time it was my earbuds, wallet, jacket and keys. And they don’t care nothing about this.Canceling my membership.!

I’ve been coming to this gym for over 10 years now, and it has gone through many renovations during the past 10 years. It just gets worse and worse over time. I understand 24 hours went through bankruptcy during COVID. However, I think management need to reconsider on properly investing in this location. Most recently, they renovated the check in area. I see money being spent on things like that but not on fixing broken machines or replacing them with new machines? I will say, they did add a grass area, which it is nice.Cardio machines, 3/4 of the treadmill and stair masters don’t work.Cable machines, about 3/4 of them doesn’t work as well. This is one of the busiest 24 hour fitness in San Francisco, yet they can’t spend money on replacing or fixing machines. I just really wish they fix the cardio and cable machines. The only nice thing I can say about this location is that the employees are super nice.

The staff is nice but doesn't make up for how poorly this location operates. I've seen the same pieces of broken equipment for almost a year that I've been coming here. Half of the elliptical machines & cable machines are unusable. Not to mention a pool that is not swimmable about half of the time. Not sure why this place is always dealing with staff shortage issues as well. Probably why nothing works.I don't understand how one of the busiest 24-hour locations has half the equipment as some of the other locations. Not to mention the other locations have way nicer equipment and aren't as busy.I only come here because it's the closest one to my house, but I will be committing to a longer gym commute for a decent experience.

Large (by SF standards), wide variety of machines and weights, relatively cheap (again, by SF standards)Solid gym especially for the price

Wish it would open past 9pm. It gets pretty crowded. There's still plenty of people around at 8:55pm. Longer hours would accommodate more people and make the experience better for everyone.

They have closed so many locations that the remaining ones are very busy. The equipment is decent though a bit under maintained. The WiFi is intermittent . They recently retiled the locker room so it seems nicer. The inconvenience of this location, and all the convenient Now closed will play seriously in my decision to renew

Good gym when it fully functional. Wiffi is weak in half gym. Reception itself is absent in the other half, all the wet areas especially the hot tube is constantly closed on Random days and time, and some times no notice, yet never ahead notice, with hours of operation. 24hr fitness, yet its only open 5am-9pm. Should be called 16hr fitness, and due to wet area being closed 80% of time of operation hours, the sports gym should be considered just a express gym.

Checking in with the app was smooth. I was asked to show proof of vaccination to get in.The gym was CROWDED. Pretty much all of the free weights had people on the benches. The cardio machines had people on almost every single one. There are no barriers between machines. At least everyone was wearing masks. I did notice that some people wore them below their noses though. If I go back, it'll probably be during the day whe it's less busy.
