After leaving the class I looked online and was shocked to see that so many people reviewed that this was such a clean place because I felt the exact opposite. I don’t mean to be dramatic but I’m going to schedule a Covid test this week. (In the response he says “we” clean it each time - no WE (the customers) are expected to clean everything while the staff chats at the front desk). And no towels or sanitizer was anywhere except one bottle at the front desk. The front desk staff was wonderful but the female instructor was so dismissive. She spoke so fast, did a horrible job explaining each move and proper form, and just generally had a ridiculous air about her. Also for a small gym there were quite a few people in the class and they we’re holding some personal boxing instruction right behind me so I couldn’t really comfortably do each move. Just waaaay too many people during a time other gyms are being extra careful about this.A guy boxing was the only person who didn’t have a mask and was spitting everywhere. The front desk staff member was so quick and understandable when I asked her if she felt comfortable asking him to put on a mask cause it’s one thing to take it off and another to take it off and spit everywhere. Not their problem but still.I won’t come back and it doesn’t feel like there is any love lost.

Hit Fit is a top notch boxing gym. Great instructors, classes and facilities. I’ve been coming pre and post pandemic and the gym does a great job of ensuring a safe/clean environment.

I’ve been doing HIIT workouts for over a decade in various program.ls.This gym has terrific set of trainers who really pushes you hard for a full body workoutSimon , the owner, is incredibly passionate and runs a tight ship. When he is short on trainers he runs the class.

Summary: Been going here for about a year now. Great gym that is clean, spacious and run by kind, helpful staff. Leo Larsen is one of the best instructors I've come across! Try a class, you won't regret it!--------------------------------------------------------------This review is long overdue! I've been going to Hit Fit SF on Sutter for about a year now. I've done both boxing and HIIT classes but I primarily go to their boxing classes. Simon, who runs the gym, is funny, kind and very helpful on top of being a great instructor! The gym itself is very clean, well maintained and run by a kind staff and a great group of instructors. Overall, I don't see myself stopping from going here anytime soon! One person I specifically want to shout out is Leo Larsen who I think is one of the best instructors I've come across! Not only is he an excellent boxer, he also has the rare ability to break his knowledge down into easily consumable pieces. He is very perceptive and can really understand where you are in your learning curve and can nudge you with just the right information so you learn and grow over time! Simply put, he's an extremely effective instructor and his classes cater to everyone from those starting off, to those looking to learn the mechanics of boxing to those simply looking for a fun workout!I can't recommend Hit Fit SF and Leo enough! If you're still caught in two minds, try a class to find out for yourself!

Before trying HIT Fit SF I had never tried this style of workout before. My experience here blew away my expectations. I specifically tried their boxing bootcamp and it was a great mix of a killer workout and learning the basics of boxing. There were plenty of beginners like myself and people who have been doing bootcamps for years. The gym owner and boxing instructor, Simon, is not only a great instructor but a pleasure to be around. He knew everyone's name in the bootcamp by the end of the first day and you can tell he cares about his classes. It's a commitment to sign up for the bootcamps but if you put the effort in it's absolutely worth it!

Came to check it out on ClassPass. Good workout, nice instructor, and a cool looking space. Seems like their focus and highlight is on boxing!

A fun workout while learning how to box. Would highly recommend the bootcamp.Edit(Oct 2020): the gym is finally open for indoor workouts after the covid lockdown – with number restrictions, dedicated training space and sanitization equipment. It's been a pleasure to work with a real heavy bag again!

Friendly staff, technique first boxing trainers, extremely clean.Covid protocols are being taken extremely seriously at this gym. everyone who comes in is given a laser temperature check and a spray bottle and rag. You get your own huge square to work out in and never are close to other members. If you care about these protocols i cant give this gym a high enough rating.

I joined the gym in October 2020 and feel secure knowing that they're taking every measure to keep members safe during covid. The boxing and HIIT classes are excellent: each instructor brings their own particular style, but all are high caliber and you always feel like you're getting a great workout!
