While on vacation, I came to visit SD BJJ & MMA and Professor Adam and the team made me feel very welcome. The facility is large and clean, the instruction is easy to follow, and the people are very welcoming. I hope to visit again soon!

My son Cody started taking jujitsu here just over a year ago. It has not only helped physically it has also helped him come out of his shell. He loves spending time at this gym and only has positive things to say about the people.

Fantastic place to learn bjj. I'm 36 and never competed in any type of combat sport until a few months ago. Everyone is very encouraging and friendly. There are several times each day to attend class.

My daughter started at sdbjj and loved it. She started out with only jiu jitsu and judo then about 6 months later she added muay thai. After that we were there 6 days a week. She has made so many new friends . People that belong to the dojo are some of the most welcoming and accepting people we have met here in CA. The instructors are the best, they are not only teachers, they are great role models.Paulo ended up convincing me to give it a try. I wanted to but I am extremely shy and lack confidence in myself. Eventually I tried it. It was so much fun even though it was intimidating. The guys treated me like I have been coming forever instead of just starting. Being one of the few woman didn't make them shy away either.I'm glad to have wondered into this dojo. Everyone there is like family. They are so welcoming you feel like you fit in at once.

I love this place. If you’re considering BJJ, this is the place to learn. The instructors are top notch. You won’t find any egos that you find at many other gyms. From the black belts down to the beginner white belts. Everyone is very welcoming.

When my interest in BJJ peaked, all roads lead to SDBJJ. It was unique that a host of friends & people I knew ranging from white collar professionals to your average blue collar workers were all connected soley by way of SDBJJ.The culture is beyond learning an art. From the detailed attention in classes, cleanliness & tremendous emphasis on safety, it is a solid business that will be around, & dedicated to growth without outgrowing service. From another angle, & counter intuitive of some’s belief regarding BJJ, being an individual sport, I am always in awe of the kids training. So much emphasis goes into not only confidence building, but anti bullying, & teamwork. Please Note: If you’re a wanna be tough guy, thinking you’re in the Octagon, who is above the rules of safety, this isn’t the club for you. The Sensis won’t allow it, but more importantly the community and culture of SDBJJ won’t allow it. SDBJJ can be best described as Controlled Combat within a Culture of Clean Community and Caring.Antoine. S
