Two years ago I walked in here not knowing what crossfit was. I was unhealthy and so out of shape. In just several sessions they were able to bring out the athlete in me and direct me into a healthier lifestyle! Thanks to coaches and members at CFBG I now get to enjoy doing activities I wouldn't have been able to do and have a quality, fulfilling, and balanced life.

I tried out most of the CrossFit Gyms in the area and this one by far has the best vibe. The coaches and the athletes there are so supportive and nice; it really feels like a family. Trust me, it is not like that at other gyms (other gyms where coaches are cocky and the athletes don't talk to each other). Each class is diverse from beginners to experts, men and women of all ages. I always felt comfortable there, even if my form was bad or if I couldn't do some of the moves. Some of the exercises are very hard and the coaches will modify them to suit your level, but I never felt singled out. The coaches will go out of their way to help you, lots of one-on-one time with great advice and expertise. They also have fun awesome optional events on the side. Yes, CrossFit is expensive, but you are paying for your health and wellbeing. How much would you pay to have a 6-pack and a great physique? CrossFit is the way to go and I will never go back to a regular gym again. With everyone there, doing the same thing, the positive vibe and slight competition with your neighbor, I looked forward to the CFBG instead of dreading working out everyday.

Crossfit Burlingame has been like a second family to me, I came in having very little experience with lifting weights but the coaches constantly motivated, supported and encouraged me and now I'm there 5 days a week, working out and lifting more than I ever thought I could. I have built strong relationships with many of the individuals who work out there. If you're looking for a place that feels like home with amazing individuals you should absolutely check out CFBG.

I cannot put into words how much I love the facility, coaches and my fellow athletes at Crossfit Burlingame. It is unlike anything I have ever done before and the support, compassion, passion and knowledge of the coaches is above and beyond. The fun we have during our training is all due to the incredible community that is Crossfit Burlingame. No one is ever judged. Ever. You can be an elite athlete or someone who has never worked out a day in their life, and both of you get the same type of respect and encouragement!I have a back injury dating back to 2012. I had my L-5 come out of alignment, it is hereditary and my back and athletic performance has not been the same ever since. As a result, I have to be very careful. The guidance I have received during training is by far the best and most effective. I can do so many things I never thought I would be able to again-pain and worry free!!!All I can say is, it is a family. Every one is so welcoming and kind. We work hard together and we have a great time while we do it! One of my best friends started at Crossfit Burlingame approximately a year before I did and she could not say enough positive things about it. When I first stepped through the door in February 2015, I knew that I found something I have been looking for.Come by and train with us!

I workout at a local gym and really LOVE and enjoy taking boot camp, Zumba, kickboxing, and body pump classes. I felt like I needed to try something new and more intense to shock my body. I looked into a variety of workout platforms and found Crossfit Burlingame! My best friend and I decided to give it a try and we fell in love with the challenging workouts!!! Deadlifts, snatches, power cleans, thrusters, push presses, squats, lunges, sled pushes, kettlebells, toes to bar, knees to elbows, muscle ups, burpees, pull ups, and push ups... OH MY!!! After every WOD I feel so strong, powerful, and amazing! I walk out of the box doing something that I never would have imagined! I am so proud of what my body can do!!! I now have muscles that I didn't know existed!If you want to see a change in your body I highly recommend CFBG!!! It's cardio and strength training all in one shot!!! There is a strong supportive community feel. The owner, James, and the entire coaching staff are all knowledgable and will help to perfect your form and technique, assist you with nutrition and meal planning, goal setting, and everyone will celebrate with you when you achieve your goals. I have been working out with James at CrossFit Burlingame for about a year. I have discovered it to be an amazing place to develop your level of fitness. I was skeptical at first about CrossFit, but discovered CFBG to be more than just a place to perform functional movement based workouts.The Crossfit style workout has a reputation for a high potential for injury. James observes and engages each athlete and tailors workout routines that meet their fitness goals with an emphasis on safety and correct execution of movements. James's passion for health and fitness can be seen in his coaching style. James commitment has gotten me very excited and encouraged about my fitness. This has translated to amazing gains in my level of strength, how I look, feel and how I perceive myself. I now surf at a higher level, sleep more deeply and achieve more in mountaineering endeavors. James will help you discover your hidden athlete.That being said, it's not the most amazing thing about CFBG. Coaching is a critical part of strength and conditioning, but the community at CFGB has also been very important to my growth as an athlete. The community that James has cultivated is incredible. The group celebrates one another's efforts and that makes one not only feel great, but also elevates one to the highest level of performance. I think that when you are part of a supportive community you tend to stick with it. I don't think that I could get through some of the brutal workouts alone.It doesn't matter who you are; you could be a young elite athlete looking to improve your performance in a specific sport, or someone who wants to improve their health and get off medication; there is a workout at CFBG for you.

I love this gym. It's my second experience with CrossFit and I couldn't be happier here. When I started here back in Dec of '11 I had a gimpy shoulder, a sore back and I couldn't complete a single metcon workout. Today I'm working out here 3x week, I've PR'ed (multiple times) my deadlift, front and back squat and press and I'm the fittest I've ever been, despite being in my 40s.Anyone can open a gym and fill it with equipment. The coaches at CFB have built a great community of folks who are both driven to push their own best and amazingly supportive of everyone else at the same time. Every one of the coaches is invested in their clients and tries to make sure we each get what we need to succeed. After a year of working with James, I now understand the value of a long-term coach/athlete relationship. If you're looking to get in the best shape of your life, give these guys a try.

Amazing Community and Amazing Coaches. I have been with them since the beginning. The coaches here are inspiring and motivational. They helped me get into and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Now I keep it up with rookie and scaled competitions throughout the year.With all the hype recently with CrossFit, it can be intimidating to try. But with the coaching staff attentive and the community being so welcoming it is an amazing experience. Plus we have a Grill out back. I mean come on who doesn't love to hangout and BBQ!Everyday at the box I look forward to taking on the next challenge with my team. I wouldn't have it any other way. Come check it out!
