Kings camp is amazing, as a gym and a community. The workouts can be as hard or easy as you choose to make them, but they are always engaging and fun. Alicia is super knowledgeable and a great coach. I couldn’t recommend Kings Camps more for those looking to up their OCR game or just have a fun challenging workout.

It's a great little gym and Elisha has a lot of positive energy. They have almost all of the obstacles to practice (except the speak throw -- insurance!) and can give you guidance on technique if you're new to OCR or Spartan. Definitely works your grip strength and shoulders more than a typical gym. Highly recommended.

The vibe of King's camp is amazing. People are working hard while having fun. The early morning training session schedule fits into my day perfectly. Most folks are wearing masks while training. Gym cleaning is great as well.

TL;DR: If you're looking to up your fitness game and to train for obstacle course racing, come to King's Camps and Fitness. You won't find anything better in the Bay Area.Mike King has been doing OCR since the beginning of the sport and was an athlete long before then. He has since taken his experience and created a facility that caters to both OCR veterans and newbies alike.Walls, ramps, ropes, monkey bars, rigs, and even warped walls are just a few of the obstacles that you'll get to play with at the gym.During an Open Gym training session, you may find both top tier pro/sponsored athletes training alongside newbies and enthusiasts.Mike and his wife Jenny have created an amazing community for OCR and fitness enthusiasts and continue to raise the bar by creating new obstacles. Mike has even introduced his own Royal Race series that features signature obstacles not found on the more popular racing circuits. This is THE obstacle course racing (OCR) gym in the Bay Area to go to. I've been training with Mike since 2015 and his programming has taken me from struggling to complete Spartan Races to finishing 24 hour obstacle races (Spartan Ultrabeast/ World's Toughest Mudder) and ultramarathons.
