Met Stella in 2013 at Equinox matt class. She was doing her teacher/apprentice training class. I wanted to learn more about pilates and she needed a willing student. I started training with her as a student. She became a teacher and opens up her own student. I stopped training during the pandemic. Recently took a class and hoping to start training again. Be careful was she’s tough, won’t let you cheat and will keep you on your toes.Back in 2013, I had the pleasure of meeting Stella at an Equinox mat class. At the time, she was undergoing her teacher/apprentice training. Intrigued by pilates and looking to expand my knowledge, I gladly offered myself as a willing student. That marked the beginning of our training journey together. As Stella progressed in her training, she eventually became a certified pilates teacher and even went on to open her own pilates studio. Throughout this time, she proved to be an incredible instructor, pushing me to reach my potential and never letting me slack off during sessions. However, like many others, my training came to an abrupt halt during the pandemic. Despite the setback, I recently decided to step back into the pilates world and joined one of Stella's classes. It felt like coming back to a familiar and motivating environment.Stella's teaching style is not for the faint of heart; she challenges you to your core and won't tolerate any cheating during exercises. But her approach is effective, and I know she has my best interests at heart. With her, you're always on your toes, and that's exactly what I need to progress and see real results. In conclusion, I'm excited to resume my training with Stella and continue growing as a pilates enthusiast. Her dedication as a teacher and her commitment to her students are what make her stand out. So, if you're looking for a tough, no-nonsense instructor who will help you achieve your pilates goals, Stella is the one to go to!

I've been to my fair share of Pilates studios and UPPilates is the real deal. I live 40+ min away but committed to this studio (weekly mix of classes and privates) for its high quality instruction and positive atmosphere. Stella and Beverly give exact/efficient cues and push you further than you thought possible - all while doing so in an inspiring and encouraging way. I discovered classical Pilates late last year and it has changed my body and life. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to help at least one more person discover this amazing studio. Love it here, and I'm confident you will too!

I have been working with Beverly from Up Pilates for about 6 months now. I initially started seeing her because of back pain and injury from boxing, which had started to limit my ability in other types of training. Running, strength training, surfing all had become too painful to do with any real intensity. I had tried osteopaths, chiropractors, physical therapists and nothing had helped. Within about 4 sessions of pilates all my pain vanished and by maintaining through going once a week I am able to train with similar if not more intensity than before my injuries. Pilates has been miraculous in terms of pain recovery and also has made me more flexible and strengthened my core helping my range of motion and posture. And beyond that, Beverly is lovely and the sessions despite being difficult are a lot of fun and a highlight of each week.
