Phoenix Gymnastics in Sandy Springs, Georgia, is an inviting gymnastics club that caters to adults and kids alike. The facility is well-maintained, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that creates a supportive environment for all skill levels.
While the instructors excel in managing personalities and providing a fun experience, some parents felt the teaching methods could be more hands-on, especially for younger children. *Please note the stars rating of this gymnastics facility is falsely mixed in with ratings for the soccer field and community center. If you’re looking for gymnastics ratings you have to dig. (The is a gymnastics rating) We did not have a great experience here. My daughter is 3 years old and has never done gymnastics before. She joined a 3-4 year old class. She was super excited for the classes. But the instructors did not teach well and didn’t have much patience. They would just tell my daughter what to do, and did not physically help her understand what kind of movement they meant. They created way too many stations and movements for the kids to do and remember, and none of them could. When they didn’t know how to do it, the instructor became frustrated. This was every week. This happened many times and after a few classes my daughter began to not want to go. Her happy little excited spirit was dampened and it was sad to watch. I made her go to complete the 6 week session and by the last 2 classes she would come to me in the stands and cry saying her teacher was mad at her. Many times I wanted to walk out on the floor myself to hands on help my daughter understand what the teacher meant because she would not show her. Just tell her and get mad. Gymnastics at 3 should be very hands on showing how to do each move and someone with patience. I will be looking for a new gym where the instructors are more hands on and helpful with teaching as they should be with a 3 year old.

Great gym and wonderful coaches. I would recommend all programs, from recreation to Competitive gymnastics.

Signed up for adult classes. Two times a week for 1 hour. Mostly work at your own pace. Nice facility. Nice staff. Very chill. Would be nice if they had a night option for adults who want a more structured class for an hour and drill stations …but most adults just doing it for fun.

Very kind and professional. Amazing gymnastics location for the growth of our daughter and son (although they do not have a specific boys program). Coaches are very good and manage personalities well.
