This gym is awesome. The people, the facility, the atmosphere, everything about this place is amazing. Does not hold the hustle and bustle of a VASA or other commercial gym which is great. Everyone is willing to assist when needed and give pointers as well. Highly recommend this place.

BMB is home! I live in Sugar House and it's 100% worth the drive. Big Mountain Barbell has every piece of training equipment you could ever wish for, there's lots of space, it's clean, and there are nothing but good vibes in the gym.

Best decision I ever made was leaving VASA and the “bro” culture there and coming to this gym. The equipment is top notch, the staff is super helpful, and the gym treats everyone like family. Come join the community and stop dealing with the the awful commercial gyms.

I painstakingly researched gyms and visited several in the greater SLC area before enthusiastically choosing BMB after moving from out-of-state (and leaving a world class facility). Ample equipment for body building, power lifting, etc. There are also excellent facilities upstairs with an area of turf, sleds, kettlebells, plyo boxes, aerobic conditioning equipment (rowing machines & assault bikes etc). It's my jam. I get a lot of work done here to support my hobbies, so can you no matter your goals, sport, etc. Owners and coaches are all great. Culture is positive. Finally, it's affordable and BMB are always making improvements. Seamless transition from my former facilities to an outstanding gym.

Being a not naturally athletic human, in the past I’ve had a hard time feeling comfortable at gyms. Bad energy, not feeling like I belong, or men giving you creep vibes when you’re stretching. Never ONCE have I experienced any bad energy or vibes at Big Mountain Barbell.Whether I’m doing one on ones with my amazing coach, Anneke; or in class with Meghan they give me the knowledge I need as a newer lifter to be able to master my lifts! After 8 months of coming here I’ve been able to grow so much thanks to my lovely coaches and peers at my gym!!All the people at the gym love having other people here no matter your experience. I am so glad I found this gym and for the first time in my life, I’m honestly so excited to go to the gym! I highly recommend coming here and joining our lil fam bam.

BMB not only has all of the equipment you need, but they also have coaches that specialize in so many different types of training. They have coaching for every goal. Usually gyms can be intimidating. BMB has the best atmosphere with gym members and coaches that will help you if you have any questions with equipment and they make you feel comfortable and confident at the gym. It's a clean, and large gym that helps keep you feel motivated even just from the vibes you get while walking in the door. They believe that everyone is important now matter how experienced of a lifter you are.

This gym is home to some of the top athletes and best people in the state. Everyone who trains here is serious and committed to a lifestyle of growth & gains. I recently watched the Ronnie Coleman documentary about his journey to 8 Olympia victories and the gym he trained at reminded me of BMB (Big Mountain Barbell). It's not flashy or fancy but it breeds winners and has a culture that can't be beat! They only purchase the best and most necessary equipment too. You've got all you need here and it's centrally located in Midvale. 5 STARS!

Come for the gym session, stay for the community.I love every part of Big Mountain. Top of the line equipment(seriously, the top top), great coaches, wonderful owners, but most importantly, the awesome gym community. Most gyms you will walk in, everyone puts their head down, headphones on, and never interact with anyone; that is not BMB. Walk in after a few weeks of being around and you will be greeted with smiling faces and friends. Bodybuilder, powerlifter, Olympic, CrossFit, or just trying to get in shape, Big Mountain will take good care of you.

I love coming here! Its 24 access, so you can come whenever it suits you. The equipment is perfect for powerlifters, Olympic lifters, and cross fitters. Everyone I've met that works here and lifts here have been so nice and helpful. It's a great place for anyone who competites or those who want to start lifting.

I’ve been a member of this gym for almost a year now. I’m a powerlifter who competes in USAPL, and having access to competition equipment is a huge advantage. The gym is clean, has a great atmosphere, and great people. Zac and Lynndsey are constantly adding equipment. If you want a serious, fun place to train you found it.
