World Class Kids Jiu Jitsu ProgramCoach Ruben Rivera is a charismatic high level BJJ Black Belt, who has made a tremendous improvement in my Son Christian and Daughter Leila's grappling. My kids trained at another overrated Orange County MMA gym for two years before coming to 10th Planet Costa Mesa. Ruben has brought the best out of my kids and their passion for the sport of Jiu Jistu is at an all time high. Under Ruben my kids have competed in multiple open tournament and won because of the 10th Planet system and his superior coaching. After watching over a dozen average coaches teach my children MMA and Jiu Jitsu, I've realized there are very few exceptional coaches, especially those that have the patience to bring out the best in kids, and Ruben Rivera is one of those rare exceptional coaches that brings out the best in mine. I have seen children whose parents have had challenges with focus and behavior, take to coach Ruben and make drastic improvement in their ability to learn and focus. Head Coach Ron Turner has build a great family environment. My wife Kristen in the last year has taken up a love of the sport under the 10th Planet banner. As a woman she now feels empowered and supported by the great community of women who train at 10th Planet (AKA "The Lady Monsters"). The facility is very welcoming, clean and modern with new mats and decor. The coaches are very down to Earth and supportive. The kids program is always well supervised with multiple coaches like Shawn, Nabil, and Nayra, who provide a great learning environment. If you want to see your children build a greater sense of self confidence, humility and respect for others, bring them to 10th Planet Costa Mesa! Its made a world of difference for my family.
