How in TF is this place a luxury club?! There is nothing luxurious about it. Nothing is ever where it is supposed to be here. I was approached twice today by people who couldn't find weight and needed to use mine. This does not make my workout pleasant. I have complained twice about nothing being where it should be. Nothing has improved. I've been to other luxury clubs whose floor is much tidier and the employees are actually visible and engaging with the members. This place needs to step it up.

Best selection of classes in the area. Group membership rates are as low as half the regular rate if six people (max) are in the group. Lots of activities: swimming, tennis, squash, hoops, table tennis. Large locker rooms. Many classes are held in a carpeted area that is poorly-ventilated and too hot. BC's uncertain future prevents it from doing renovations. This BC has neither child care nor a cafe.

Weekends are great but week day commuters fill the parking lot and amenities, to keep from sitting in traffic. They get a workout and a private shower, they also have private family showers. It starts to calm down after the carpool lane ends. It really is like going on a vacation. Two pools, one for families and a larger one for serious lappers, surrounded by individual couples cabanas. I don't use everything they have to offer, best to stop by and take a tour. Other things; in door basketball court, squash courts, several outdoor tennis courts, shaded by large Redwood trees, weight room, treadmills, speed bags and punching bags, a spin room, and still adding amenities. And if you have any muscle pain there is an onsite physical therapist Roberto, who helped me workout a shoulder injury. Great place! Great people! Easy to talk to.

Update 2022 April:After being a new member for 3 months so far, I finally reserved a tennis court to practice with the ball machine. Everything was good until I saw on the bay club connect app that there is a $25 no show fee charge (I was like what???).The next time I went to bay club and talked to the front-desk people and only at that moment I was informed that you need to check-in by words with them for tennis. Scanning barcode isn't enough. So what's the whole point of the barcode? There is no warning when you book a court on the app, there is no warning from the front desk people after you scan barcode, there is nothing except a no show charge.2022 MarchDidn’t feel comfortable at the gym. One gym cleaning guy kept looking at me, and even came in and judged my body shape while I was doing workout alone.

1. Not clean, mold and dirt in the locker room and the swimming pool 2. For what I paid I was hoping for a less crowded gym, but It becomes more and more crowded since they started shared membership, I always have to wait for a long time for the swimming pool, and during busy hours there are so many people inside the whirlpool that socially distance is a joke. 3. One front desk staff was super condescending 4. After I joined they gave me a complimentary personal training class saying it is a gift to all new members, but when I made time for it and attended, it is just one trainer sitting down with you persuading you buying classes without any real experience. Very very disappointed and felt like I was tricked. 5. Stop membership is very difficult, I followed the process to fill in forms and no response, then I emailed the director of membership and still no response for 2 weeks. I got angry and escalated to all managements I can find online and finally got membership stopped. But there is a stupid one month wait, so I request to stop in January and will pay until March 1st. Come on you are not an apartment, it doesn’t make any sense to wait. Super super disappointed in the whole experience.

2 stars goes to the facility . It’s great .The staff is horrible when it comes to taking feedback or even just responding to an email or phone call ! They just don’t care .If you want to reserve tennis courts , good luck with that . You will never ever find one in the evening . They let USTA reserved courts a year in advance and they take up ALL the courts all year round . It’s a joke that they charge us an arm and leg for the fee and give such horrible customer service . I am reconsidering my membership. I may just take my business somewhere else and so should you !

I come to this club 3 times a week, for other times, I go to the redwood shore one.The basketball court is way too busy compared with other location, there are almost 30 people there waiting on Wed and Fri evening, which make the experience so bad.Besides the basketball court, the workout area is so crowded.I don’t quite understand the schedule of this location, if they can close at 10pm, the experience can be improved a ton. 9 pm is a joke for a club that has so many active members. Come on bay club Santa Clara.

Classes- HORRIBLE classes arrangements. Not many classes comparing to Fremont’s campus. They are good giving excuses.Unqualified yoga instructors. The Chinese non English speaker female instructor likes to show off. Do they know the meaning of teaching?Layout- large campus with extreme lousy indoor layout. It is still in the 70’s construction configuration. No food / beverage station like other Bay Clubs

Have enjoyed the fitness classes and renovated facilities in the past two months. The stars are for the super fun super positive class instructors. However today when I was using their shower room, the hot water was suddenly gone (completely cold water only), when I was covered by soap and shampoo unfortunately. I asked other people around and all showers were out of hot water. Without seeing any staff in the locker room that could help, we had to wait in wet until the hot water came back after a long time. But it was back for only 5 minutes and gone again. Eventually I had to finish the shower in complete cold water (it’s not a warm day today and now I kind feel a headache). No staff from the gym helped with the situation at all, nor they even noticed it. I told the front desk (2 people there) when I walked out, but they didn’t do anything or call any technician to check the hot water system. They just standing there said “You’re welcome. We’ll let the management know”. Not sure what they meant by “you’re welcome”, but obviously they didn’t feel sorry nor apologetic to give their customers a big cold shock.——————————-Adding something new about the front deck: I scanned my bar code and got in the gym normally today. But didn’t walk far, the front desk girl yelled at me and asked me to stop. When I turned around, she just questioned if the Asian man walking behind was together with me (I’m Asian too). I don’t know that guy at all, and was not aware of anyone behind me. If he got in without scanning his bar code, shouldn’t the front desk yell and stop him?? Why they didn’t question the white lady right before me if she’s with that guy? Such rude front desk and likely very racist.

This branch has the WORST customer service. We initiated contact to cancel our membership in August. Months later and we are still getting charged. Based on the communication logs they keep (which only show when they respond to your communication, not when you initiate contact) there are weeks long lapses in which you cannot get anyone to reply to you. When you go in you are told to email. When you email you get no response. They accept no ownership and are not apologetic in the slightest - in other words, they make no effort at customer service. I would never recommend anyone join this Bay Club after the experience we have had.
