No punching bags or at least not enough, Sparring is not guaranteed. Techniques are good and the advice of the trainers is accurate. If your looking for a hard challenge this is not for you but if you want to begin martial arts this is a good place to start.

My son has been going here for a little over three months and he looks forward to it every time. I am a believer that classes like these, aside from learning self defense, also promote discipline and help children with self esteem and confidence. Sensei James and all the staff are great with the kids and the environment is welcoming. It is also worth noting that Sensei James is great at responding messages and questions. My son will continue coming here for as long as possible because it continues to be a positive experience for him.

Our experience with Family Martial Arts has been great! James is a great leader and great at communication. Our son has truly enjoyed his experience so far and has progressed to his second belt quickly. The way the kids work with each other and teach each other is great to see and be a part of!

I've 3 of my daughters enrolled, and for whatI've seen they loved it. In my opinion I thinkevery kid should be enrolled in this kind ofsport. The instructor not only teaches themself defense, for their own safety, but alsodiscipline, and confidence.

My son at first refused to join the Karate class, so I thought that was a bad idea, but after the 3rd class, his attitude changed, and he improved his self-esteem in a short time. I am very proud of my child. Each lesson is different, the price is reasonable, and the best of that is the friendly environment for the kids.

I have both my son 7 y/o and daughter 8 y/o enrolled in classes. They really enjoy going to class and look forward to earning their next belt. Not only are they learning self defense but also discipline simultaneously. Communicating with Sensei is easy and he is always available for any questions or concerns. I definitely recommend Family Martial Arts!
