I was a member of this gym for over two years and it is honestly the best - I wouldn’t have left if I weren’t moving to another neighborhood 20 minutes away, and I still even considered keeping my NW Fitness membership. It’s locally owned which is a huge score and the staff is top-notch. Every person is friendly and professional, and the gym is kept clean and in good shape. Very good selection of equipment for a relatively small gym and I respect the heck out of the team for managing COVID so well and requiring masks and vaccination for as long as they did. I also loved the 24-hour setup (really loved how empty it was during Seahawks games). If you live in First Hill, sign up for this gym! You won’t regret it and you’ll be supporting an awesome local business.

This gym is amazing and just what I was looking for. One of my favorite things are the classes, offered most days at very convenient times for WFH schedules. When I joined, I tried classes and personal training with Alexis who is absolutely awesome! Her enthusiasm, laugh, and energy really keep me motivated and have helped me maintain a more consistent workout schedule. She's also very knowledgeable and flexible in her style, and so was able to quickly nail down some areas of improvement while continuously modifying workouts, which has greatly helped me. The gym itself is somewhat compact, but the layout makes a lot of sense and has quite a bit of equipment - I've rarely found it too crowded. Lastly, the gym seems to attract a nice mix of down-to-earth people - both people who live in the neighborhood and those who work nearby - as well as fitness lovers, but not a lot of the stereotypical annoying "gym rat" types. As such, the atmosphere tends to be one of mutual support as people improve their variety of fitness levels. Highly recommend!

I was a member of this gym for about 2 years and there’s nothing I can say that’s bad about this place! It’s very clean, organized, and fun. The atmosphere is very friendly & the members have great gym etiquette. I always felt welcomed, never judged. Yes, it is smaller then your average gym, but trust me it has everything you need and is less crowded than any commercial gym guarantee it.The staff here is GOD TIER. They are very friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in your fitness journey. The owner, John, is very personable and approachable and greets me every day. Thank you to Chris & Dee, a couple personal trainers there who took time to educate me about fitness. Both of them taught me about nutrition & several new tips & exercises, free of charge. This gym was exactly what I was looking for, especially working at the hospital across the street. Perfect for healthcare workers. Never would have left if it wasn’t for me moving states! Thanks NW Fitness, you guys are the best.

I toured this gym a while back and for some reason thought I wanted one of the huge gyms, but now that I’ve been working out at NWF during covid shutdowns I’m not going to go back to my previous gym even when it opens back up. NWF has everything I need in terms of machine weights and free weights and somehow actually has more racks than a lot of huge gyms I’ve worked out in. The staff is SO friendly, and everyone is separated well with 100% mask adherence. Huge shoutout to John and his team for jumping through all the hoops needed to keep this place open and covid-safe and an awesome place to work out!

One of the best gyms that I've been to in Seattle. Even before COVID, this gym was extremely well kept and clean and since the pandemic, their cleaning practices have only improved. Since exercise is so important for health, wellness and immunity, I'm glad that this gym has made a strong effort to stay open during these crazy times.

I work nearby and this gym (now wellness clinic) has everything I need to stay healthy and in shape. The facilities are well kept, modern and clean. Management is top notch. I appreciate how they have made all the changes needed to follow ever changing COVID guidelines for these types of businesses. They care about their customers safety and wellness.

Excellent experience all around! Friendly, communicative staff, everything kept very clean, and plenty of equipment for the space that's available. For my first time joining a gym, the folks at NW Fitness made it a welcoming experience.

This is just one of my favorite gyms in Seattle. The fact that they have a Hospital grade HVAC system and procedures to keep myself and all other socially distanced gym members safe is just an added bonus! John and his team have been spectacular throughout this entire pandemic and even before. Highly recommend!!

Small gym packs a punch. Every gym has gym equipment, but where this gym really shines is in its personal trainers, it’s hours (open 24hrs, unlike the nearby 24hr Fitness) and its friendliness. Seriously, the owner will reach out to you right away to make sure you are getting what you need. This gym rocks. I wish I could have taken it with me when I moved.

I started at this gym in July of 2019 after moving into a building near by. What was great, was that I was able to get a deal when I got a year of membership at once. Little did I know that the pandemic was coming, and I wouldn't be able to get into the gym for the last 3 months of that first year. The owner is an absolutely fantastic guy, and after talking with him directly, he helped me out. He extended my membership by the three months I wasn't able to use, and is allowing me to renew at the same rate in the future.Besides the owner being a completely reasonable business person (rare in the world of gym meberships), all of the staff are incredibly friendly, have great trainers there to spot you or help out with work out questions. Under phase 2 of the King County COVID requirments they're taking great care to make sure everyone stays healthy during their work outs, including taped off social distance areas, limited the number of people in the gym to 13, and lifting equiptment in a seperate room previously used for group fitness classes. I'm excited to be able to start lifting in a private room!Additionally, in early 2020, they upgraded a lot of their equipment and added more racks. By far the best gym I've found for free weights and barbell lifting on the hill.
