Love coming here to lift! Great weights variety, always clean, and the staff is always super welcoming (especially Josie and Colton).

I started working out here around 2 months ago and I love the gym environment! Very welcoming unlike other gyms, and the child care is great! :)

Genesis is my happy place! I've made some lifelong friendships here attending Group Fitness classes and gotten in the best shape of my life. The instructors are all amazing and hard working. The front desk is always helpful and friendly and the Trainers are always giving clients awesome workouts. It's really a great place.

Very good club. Always clean. Staff is always friendly and trainers on hand to help with questions on exercises or how to use equipment. Well worth the membership for all the value you get (tanning, personal training available, smoothie bar, etc.). Highly recommended.

Came here with my wife almost an hour before they closed. Came inside and the first thing said to us by this older woman was “You know we close?”. We have been coming here for almost a year so obviously with our workout we would understand when they close and how long it would take for us to workout. Lack of respect from her as we came in and as we left. She was respectful to a gentleman as he left but couldn’t even be bothered to at least say bye to us as we left.

"Now" named Genesis Health Club my only & forever Gym just since I was in my mid 20's am now in the best shape of my entire life! Feeling great at Genesis Health Club South . Absolutely Loving the Les Mills fitness classes - especially (Body balance the new Yoga) and Yin Yoga 🧘‍♂️. That is Included with membership .The special classes give confidence and endurance whileFocusing on strengthening & toning all muscle groups while giving agility, and flexibility to the entire skeleton & joints. For Body balance I love ❤️ these highly effective instructors Jamie - Karen and Kristen.For Yin Yoga 🧘‍♂️ we all ❤️ our physique professional "Jamie."Feeling Young and alive with every breath .. anyone and everyone should be fighting to get a spot . The trainers and staff are great. I’ve lost 85 pounds in less than 6 months. All the members are very supportive, and the classes are excellent. If you’re ready to make positive changes in your life, this is an excellent place to start and gather support. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I have been coming to Genesis and working with their instructors for a long time. We particularly enjoy the yin yoga and body balance classes. The instructors in those classes are very effective in being able to work with students and show them how to increase their flexibility and agility. Instructors we work with are Karen Kristen and Jamie. They are very professional and their approach to the classes and they're always ready to give help.

So one thing I've noticed is that most of the positive reviews all show "a month ago" which screams that there was a promotion of some sort of posting a positive review for exchange of a discount.That aside this review is coming from when we were members back during COVID and prior. One we were told it was a 2 year contract but it was actually a 3 year contract. It was our fault for not reading everything but I guess we just trusted the employee who was helping us. The equipment was outdated, broken, etc. But my biggest compliant was the childcare. The amount of time the employees that were supposed to be watching the children but were on their phones was disappointing. Then let's talk about when face mask were required. One of the daycare teachers ALWAYS wore her mask on her chin. Then not even a week later we get a call from Greene County letting us know our kids were exposed to a positive covid case and a day later Gensis calls and says we can't come back for 14 days. There was no apology, compensation, change of things, etc. The daycare hours CONSTANTLY changed even before COVID. The employees who dealt with documents and such were not professional at all. I hope things have changed since 2021

I have been going to this gym for around three weeks now. After a day pass visit with my brother, I decided to get a membership. I have been to many gyms around Missouri, Planet Fitness, multiple YMCA’s, even Gold’s Gym. This gym stands out in its own for having a decent assortment of equipment and weight ranges, a friendly group of staff (don’t forget about the smoothie bar), and a decent gym-going community. My goal is always to workout for mental health, and this move to a public gym is definitely a move in a positive direction. You should definitely give Genesis South a try for yourself!
