Genesis Health Clubs - Springfield South

The environment here is absolutely incredible. Everyone is so kind and always willing to help! Classes are exciting & productive and the staff members are knowledgeable & fun!!! This place is definitely my jam and I would recommend to anyone looking for a great gym.

I have been highly impressed with the cleanliness of the gym. They make sure there is cleaner spread out throughout the gym to clean off the machines after they’re used. The equipment is always in good condition and working. The locker rooms stay very clean and orderly. The front desk staff is top notch and they always make me feel welcomed and I always feel comfortable if I need to ask for something. The kids club is also awesome! They are always doing activities/crafts, the staff is so friendly, and they make every child feel involved and like they belong there! They get to know the kids and their personalities, which is unlike most other places I’ve been! There is an awesome selection of classes as well as pool classes!

Had death in the family in another state, explained that I wouldn't be back anytime soon still billed me 3 months. I used the gym all of 5 times, only went for the pool.Was given 3 times with a personal trainer, told him I wanted to lose my gut. His response was to"eat less". That was the last time I asked for advice.Don't waste your money. Not worth what's being charged locked in in some payment plan.

Nice gym that has improved over the months and years. The staff, equipment, and cleanliness are as good as they've ever been. Front desk staff always greets and says goodbye to you in a friendly manner.

This is by far the best family friendly gym in springfield! It's comfortable and all the employees are helpful and always smiling. Shout out to my trainer Jessica Cannady she's made my gym experience fun and I'm definitely seeing results fast :) also the ladies in the daycare, you guys are AMAZING 🥰 …

Love this gym. The trainers are knowledgeable, the classes are fun and there’s a lot to choose from, the kids club is clean, and there’s lots of equipment. The environment is motivating and encouraging. I recommend this gym not only to people experienced in fitness but beginners as well because the trainers help you get started.

I have always enjoyed working out.Started in November 2020 and paid for trainers in April 2021. The trainers are professional, knowledgeable and incredibly thorough. No fault of the trainers, I found out through the 12 trainer sessions that I had some real issues with my back. Visited a chiropractor and my trainer took the information and completely transformed our workout overnight to fit what the Chiropractor recommended. I recommend Genesis to everyone for many reasons other than trainers.Great staff, hot tub, sauna, salt water pool, all the gym facilities and so much more.I always enjoyed Cox fitness centers and didn’t think I would go anywhere else but when they closed the doors for working out, I took a chance with Genesis and so glad I did.One last positive, my oldest son lives in Olathe, Kansas and Genesis is less than than three miles away. So they have other convenient locations so you can stay up on the workouts and fitness classes.

Great atmosphere! I love the energy that flows through the gym and have been working out here for almost four years. The Kids Club is amazing and my kids have the best time while my husband and I workout. Genesis has a lot to offer including tanning and swim lesson packages that we utilize as well.

When I first started using genesis I enjoyed it because of the option for childcare, it was extremely helpful for a single mom who couldn’t find time to workout. However, the amount I paid monthly to the gym was just a little much for me. With a tanning membership as well I was paying $160+ a month (most gyms have memberships that include tanning that will only cost you between $20-40). This eventually became too much for me. When I called to cancel my membership (over a year ago) they told me they understood and would cancel it for me. Recently I’ve received letters from them saying I owe them over $1,600 and they would be taking my tax return. After I had canceled over a year ago!!! Do not use this gym. I had been warned by others not to use it because of this exact kind of issue and unfortunately decided to use it anyway. If you’re in the same boat as me and are looking to use this gym strictly because of the daycare, save your money and just get a babysitter scheduled for days you’d like to workout AT A DIFFERENT GYM. If this gym hadn’t been so expensive as well as ended up being complete crooks and a scam I would have very much enjoyed my experience. However, a few extra amenities are not worth an extra $100+ a month compared to what you’d pay at another gym, nor is it worth possibly being fined $1,600+. My advise? Find a different gym.

I really enjoy going to this gym. There is a lot of equipment and I love the gym friendly atmosphere. Every time I come in I am always happily greeted. One of the team members named Zoe has helped me numerous times and is very knowledgeable about the different classes at genesis, informs me on different good supplements to take, and always is very friendly whenever I come in. I tell all my friends if they are going to get a membership get one with her because she knows so much about what the gym has to offer!
