I'm not sure that my words could ever do it justice, but there's so much magic that occurs at this place. This studio has blessed me with everything I needed to explore, grow, and create. I think everybody could benefit from a trip or two to the BE.

I’ve been coming to BE for a few years on and off. I used to vacation in St Pete for a few weeks a year, and BE was my go-to studio.Since my husband and I moved here together 2.5 years ago, I’ve been coming less because we share a car and he’s always out teaching during the day (some of his classes are at BE). So I go to his Mantra Meditation classes on Sundays and sometimes the Tuesday morning Hot Hatha with him because I enjoy them both very much, and that’s been the extent of my involvement with BE over the last few months.A few days ago I made the decision to join the Mysore program that’s held in the mornings at BE. It’s led by Jade, and even in just a few days it’s been clear that I made the right move by joining.I’ve had some chronic pain and alignment issues from working from a desk and past injuries. I’ve found that Jade has been able to help me adapt to certain postures that I’m not used to, and these are things I haven’t been able to achieve in my home practice. Sometimes you just need someone to look at you and tell you what’s needed or what’s missing - and it’s hard to get that perspective in the privacy of your own home. This guidance alone will keep me coming back to keep learning from her.I also like that it’s a set sequence, so you can get an accurate perspective on how you’re improving each time. It’s a unique aspect of the Mysore program. Plus there’s no music because it’s taught more traditionally, which I appreciate.Tiffany (another Mysore class teacher) was there today and though I haven’t had much interaction with her yet, she had a kind and warm energy and I’m looking forward to the Sunday class that she’ll be leading.BE definitely offers something for everyone. If you’re more airy and fluid, there are creative and flowy classes for you. If you’re firey and intense, plenty of classes to stoke that fire or cool it down when you need it. And if you’re like me who benefits from structure and stability, building a set practice like the Mysore, or Shahar’s sequence in the Tuesday morning Hot Hatha will benefit you because you can concretely see your improvements each time. I’m a no-frills kind of gal, so these types of classes resonate with me. But for those who love all the bells and whistles, there’s plenty for you too.I’d also like to mention that Lance Robbins, chiropractor and teacher at BE also has led a class that deals with Self-Care, Mobility, and Recovery that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. He has helped me deal with my chronic pain quite a lot. The class changed its days so I’m no longer able to be a regular like I used to be, but I used to go every week as one of his regulars. It was a different class every time, and Lance is just so knowledgeable as a chiropractor and as a lifelong learner himself, that each class was not only therapeutic, but informative with tons of value that helped me practice self-care at home.I appreciate BE’s diversity in their offerings, and I look forward to my continued practice there. It’s a lively, organized, physically beautiful studio with something for everyone.

As a travel nurse, I have practiced yoga at studios throughout the country. The Body Electric, and specifically Jade Skinner's MySore instruction is the best holistic yoga experience I've had ANYWHERE.The Body Electric studio is a mix of style, beauty, coziness and welcome amenities. Ample parking, a gorgeously renovated warehouse, artistic touches, lounge areas, enticing boutique and welcoming, knowledgeable staff all combine to make a taking a class at the BE a holistically enjoyable experience. The course selection is wonderfully varied, making the BE a perfect place to play with whatever type of yoga experience you are seeking. Every teacher has her or his own style, but each is uniquely knowledgeable and enjoyable. The MySore program at The Body Electric, led by Jade Skinner, is exceptional. After 8 years of practicing various forms of yoga, I came to MySore looking for a new challenge. I wanted to grow my understanding of the Ashtanga roots of yoga and focus on form and breath. What I experienced was so much more. Every practice became a moving meditation with focus on connection between pranayama and correct form, with Jade gracefully and impeccably providing individualized instruction to move each student forward.Entering a MySore studio risks being an intimidating experience. Jade welcomes each student into the soft, beautiful MySore space and immediately begins to learn each student's experience and needs. Going into MySore practice, I had a hamstring injury that had plagued me for years, as well as a recent knee injury and incredibly tight shoulders. With an expertise I've never experienced from other yoga teachers, Jade was able to connect my hamstring to an activation of my pelvic floor muscles, and teach me how to move through postures pain free for the first time in years. She patiently showed me modifications and provided hands-on assistance for poses that were difficult for my injured knee. With keen attention, she was able to challenge me to strive for more while always reminding me to first and foremost use my yoga practice as an exploration in listening to and learning from my body. Jade has truly created a aesthetic space for each person to be welcomed, challenged and supported in her or his own growth. Even after leaving St. Pete, I invoke Jade's teaching every day I practice.Thank you, BE, for creating such a gorgeous yogic community. I look forward to returning someday.

This is my first experience with doing yoga with the Foundations class. Each class has been a little different based on instructors. Staff at the front desk is very friendly and polite. Instructors are friendly also. Sometimes, it is difficult to hear them be it acoustics, AC, etc. It has been a pleasant experience.

Nice studio space, fun classes, and good teachers, but their current booking system is deeply flawed. They allow you to book classes from their app, but that doesn’t actually hold your space in the class. Myself and my friends have been turned away from more classes than we’ve attended in the last few weeks due to the studio not holding our place after reserving it online. They also have minimal parking and we’ve been forced to park four blocks away or try to cross 30th street during rush hour, which gets surprisingly busy.Overall, it was a good studio and if you don’t have a day job then it’s still good, but between no parking and not saving space for members who have booked classes, I’m considering switching to a new studio.

I went to BE for the first time today and it was amazing! As a yoga teacher of 10 years I have a hard time finding the right studio, and BE delivered on all levels! The space is beautiful and clean, the front desk was friendly, my class was fantastic, they have ALL the props you could ever need, they have heated and nonheated classes, AND Friday classes are only $5! I’m so happy to have found my yoga home and will definitely be getting a monthly unlimited membership!! Thank you BE, you are saving me right now 🙏
