Been coming here off and on since the beginning of the year. Personally this is the only gym in my eyes that’s worth it because in-shape will straight up rob you with disgusting fees and late fees! However now that for the time being this is my main gym it has a lot of issues I feel that the staff don’t address. For one it’s the tik tokers and narcissistic teens. So many tripods and cameras all over the floor during peak hours is ridiculous and this is starting to be an EVERYDAY problem. Most people here are not even pro body builders or anything close and are constantly recording themselves and not working out. This is annoying because I’m on a time crunch when I come here and as a busy professional I don’t want to worry about bumping into someone’s camera gear or being on someone’s videos for privacy concerns when I’m there to WORKOUT. The gym is full of people who come as groups and clearly only there for the social aspect. Also the sauna still isn’t up and running. This isn’t me trying to talk bad about the gym completely, I mean compared to the in shapes here in Stockton (I’ve been to all of them) the gym equipment here is actually new and brand name. However management seriously needs to do something about the amount of cameras and recording being done at this gym. At what point is a gym a photo shoot studio for tik toks and mid-physiques lol. I mean seriously it’s getting ridiculous. This review is mostly a critique of what my experience is and like I said compared to inshape which is bigger and has less of the tik toker issues , in-shape has really gross predatory billing. However my review is to point out what you will expect by being a member at valley fitness in Stockton. For some reason valley fitness in Manteca doesn’t have those issues. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

Fix the floors and get some more machines. Kinda weak. Staff's a-1 though. Manager is cool. Floors are a little ridiculous. And only one of each machine is crazy too.

Gym was nice a few month ago , it is not as nice now. I will be changing to in shape or crunch instead sadly. It is way to occupied and they are all filming them selves as if they’re starring in a net flix series (not even filming for form check) My wife and I can’t tolerate it anymore.

Got a membership for whole family (4 members) as soon doors were opened to this gym because it was brand new, new machines, vibe was different but now we are going to cancel it end of this month due to place is going down an down each an everydayCustomer service is at the front desk is horrible, machines are down, rubber mats are coming apart thru out the gym, Sauna still not up an working, barely have 1 leg extensions & 1 leg press machine, both of them always pre occupied, lacking on quality & quantity Hammer strength machines.Only good thing is gym is very clean, they have cleaning people's always working, most members always vipe machines after use, this is the only thing kept me there this long

Still waiting for them to install the sauna they promised and fix the floors. I would recommend in shape over this location until these issues are fixed.

This gym has a lot of problems that they don't seem to want to fix. The boot camp room has no air or fans to move air. The sauna is still broken, the rubber floors around the weight benches are coming up. This is ridiculous for the money we spend. Until these problems are fixed I would consider a different gym.

This location has a verified history of lying to customers. First it started with the grand opening date. Now they are continuing to lie to customers on when the Sauna will open because they are too cheap to hire a profession to hook up the Sauna. I’d also like to mention that the floors are uneven throughout the gym and still haven’t been fixed.

My husband and I are not current members and are heavily considering joining, however the Stockton location does NOT feel inviting for women. Of course, the dark interior and industrial look appeals to men. There is no open space [with accessible mirrors] to stretch or do body-weight type exercises. There is a so-called "stretching" area, with no mirrors, but one-sided windows [Hi employees eating your lunch!] in the turf area, but this may be taken over by personal training at any time. I was told by employees that as an additional option I could work out in the classroom if there is no class, but as a woman that makes me feel confined to the classroom like a second class citizen instead of the main floor, and if there happens to be a class that option is not possible so that basically limits me to the very small open area with mirrors over by the free weights next to the other large room that is also used for classes and personal training [the old basketball court]. So if I pay for the basic $40 membership there are now 4 large rooms that are inaccessible to me if there happen to be classes or trainings going on. $80 a month to gain this full access is incredibly expensive, which if the goal is to only attract Bay Area commuters than congrats, but you have now completely outcasted most women by failing on 4 key points: Women who A: prefer class-type workouts over going to the gym on their own, B: cannot afford $80 a month for classes C: by not offering childcare, D: by not offering comfortable mirrored space on the main floor. I cannot justify $80 a month with these complaints lingering as well as no simple amenities like blow-dryers, a dry sauna, and towel service. I used to live in the Bay Area and I have paid a lot of money for nice gyms and they always included these amenities. At the moment, I cannot fathom that $80 a month for this gym is worth it and even at $40 a month to feel confined to the corner makes me feel inadequate. I understand that in Stockton we need a gym that feels clean, professional, safe and exclusive [we don't need every hood rat in the city], but I am taking the time to write this review because I am hopeful that with some simple changes and focusing more on making your potential female members feel comfortable may improve your overall impression on the local community and improve your membership.

It's a nice gym. Good equipment (new). All the elements of a club. Clean. A little busy at times. The members are all mostly in good shape, eliminating the riff raff that goes to the gym for social interaction.Final note, if you are the previously mentioned socialite, could be holding up a piece of equipment at another gym right now, this place isn't for you.
