I did my 1st water aerobics class yesterday and it was great! Lots of fun. Very encouraging. I was encouraged to come to the Pilates class today but I over slept. This was an awesome start to my “New Year, New Me” journey!

I like the gym and they have made improvements to make group the equipment by muscle group but there needs to be some improvements for the following:1. enforce members to re-rack weights2. add additional dumbbells to the circuit training room3. move all like muscle machines to the same location as the free weights. This would prevent members having to go back an forth between sections.4. the Main issue is there is not enough small weights to support two separate locations if staff is not going to enforce re-racking weights.

Large facility with a good amount of exercise machines to find an alternative if one is being used. They are currently performing construction which has displaced the women's showers to a temporary fixture on the exterior of the facility. Compared to their March Lane facility, the Hammer facility has a lower supply of dumbbells.

Pretty good gym with plenty of variety in machines and environment felt fine. The biggest things that didn’t appeal to me were:1. the locker room (mens; flooring and wall paint can seriously use some touch up or upgrade, looks like it wasn’t renewed in 30-40 years; showers are jail showers, no separation of showers so either you shower naked with a bunch of other people or shower with your underwear on).And 2. Stretch/warmup areas: although the gym is fairly spacious, I didn’t find any good places to stretch and warm up. There looked like a room for classes, etc. that I could’ve used, but I didn’t go in there. It was a weekend so likely no classes, but that still poses a problem for the weekdays

They are almost done with the Hammer Lane remodel - definitely opens up the gym. More room, more equipment, better workouts!

Seems like you get what you pay for, though it is more expensive than Planet Fitness. Currently doing a renovation. Didn’t know 100% gray was in. Also, the spatial reorganization seems to hide the gym eliminating dozens of broken machines instead of repairing them.
