Can be fun for beginners but Overpriced gym with probably worst sets especially rope. They rarely update routes now. I used to love coming here (was a member for 5 years) and had to stop because setting quality gets worse every time. Not consistent grading, and only change one section of the wall per month for rope.. every time I tried other gym, I realized how it used to be fun to climb. Unfortunately there is no competitor gym in South Bay that’s the reason people keep their membership here.. it’s shame because the gym itself is great and I love to keep climbing. They also increased monthly membership fee $10 every year claiming they made “improvement”, but I only see opposite of improvement.

Excellent weight training section. Basic equipment. No fancy machines. Can get a bit crowded. Overall, a great place for a solid workout.

I was quite nervous to come here alone as a beginner, luckily I started off with a free bouldering class at Santa Clara and worked up the courage to go where the walls are tall 😅 this place is super popular as well, but inwas able to do some climbing and belaying with reasonable wait times on a Wednesday …

This is a well equipped gym but as others have noted - it's not safe. The gym's apparently frequented by non-climbing parents who apparently think it's a playground they can let their kids run wild in.As context - I took a fall and a child barreled into me mid air. I'm now looking at a torn ACL and potential surgery. Of course if I'd squished the kid I'd have been looking at a lawsuit so hey - could have been worse.

A front desk guy with glasses was super rude and discriminative last night (the date is 07/27)! He walked straight from the front desk to me and my friend, and reminded us there are only 5 minutes left, urged us to leave before the gym closes, while we sit in the boulder area waiting to try our problems one last time. His behavior is so unfriendly and discriminative and made us so uncomfortable. I have been climbing in movement gyms for about 2 years. Movement should train their staff not to discriminate people at least.EDIT: thank you for replying to me. I totally understand that people stay overtime, but that is not our case. Please tell them (1) only tell people to leave after the gym is closed. We have the right to stay until 11PM. (2) If you want to ask people to leave, ask everyone in the gym instead of choosing some people to talk to.

I had to make a review after interacting with the great staff at this movement location. I got a membership this summer and brought my sisters to climb with me for the first time. The front desk worker, Hakeem, made everyone feel so welcomed and we had the best time. On other days I’ve came in he’ll ask me how I’m doing and is so friendly! 10/10

I’ve come to really love this place. They have every kind of climbing and climbing training gear. Most of the classes are free, so taking one weeks worth of yoga somewhere else would cost just as much as the membership here. Unlimited towels in the locker rooms and a sauna!

Terrible Experience with Disruptive Staff Member!I have been a member of this gym for over 11 years, and I have always enjoyed my time here. However, my recent experiences with a particular staff member have left me extremely disappointed and uncomfortable. This staff member, whose name I would rather not mention, has repeatedly interrupted and annoyed me during my workouts. Not only did he interrupt me, but he also showed a complete lack of respect for my personal space and boundaries. I have witnessed him doing the same to other members as well, which is completely unacceptable and unnecessarily.Last year, I took the initiative to bring this issue to the attention of the previous supervisor, hoping for some resolution. However, despite my complaint, it appears that no action was taken against this staff member. I find it disheartening and concerning that the gym management failed to address this ongoing problem, especially considering my long-standing membership and loyalty. As a paying customer, I believe that I should be able to exercise in a safe and comfortable environment without being constantly bothered and interrupted. Unfortunately, this staff member's behavior has made my gym experience significantly unpleasant, to the point where I am considering canceling my membership. It is crucial for the management of this gym to take immediate action and address this recurring issue. Ignoring the problem only serves to perpetuate an uncomfortable atmosphere for members like myself. I hope that future members will not have to endure the same level of discomfort and frustration that I have experienced. In conclusion, my overall experience with this gym has been tarnished by the disruptive behavior of this particular staff member. Until the management demonstrates a genuine commitment to addressing this issue and ensuring a respectful and enjoyable environment for all members, I cannot recommend this gym to others anymore.
