I liked the fact that the traditional aspects of karate are being taught here (katas, counting in native language, etc.).I remember that karate teaches self control and respect for others. I feel that this location does not fulfill that. I was observing a sparring session in my sons class and one male student kept kicking a female student in the stomach (repeatedly and with too much force in my opinion). This behavior was not corrected and was allowed to go on to the point that the female student walked out of the class and into the hallway, upset with what was happening. It was never corrected. That to me was unacceptable. I felt that the teacher teaching my son’s class was not personable. He did not check in with parents or even greet them when they walked in (including me). As a whole I decided to move my son elsewhere because I was not satisfied with the service.

I remember going to this place back around 2013 I liked the instructors I really did but there really wasn't much diversification of advanced individuals to train against I did notice that within the first few months the people I was sparring against didn't seem to be much more skilled then I was even though some of them have been training for multiple years which I did find quite odd. However there was 1 female Asian female student that definently did demonstrate advanced skills to me so its hard to say if it was completely just poor training or the students themselves. Either or this place definently lacked competition as there really wasn't a lot of people there half the time there would be less then 6 people per class and I definently feel like running took up too much time in the training regime I feel like cardio from the sport alone was plenty that being said all In all I would recommend this for a family trying to get some basic skills down absolutely but for someone who is really competitive who is more advanced I would not recommend because there just simply isn't enough people there who are advanced that can really spar and train with u and really teach to help get you to the next level because most of them aren't even at the next level themselves. all in all this is just my honest opinion and like I said if u are a family person and just want basic self defense skills I would absolutely recommend this place 100% im not saying this is a terrible place to go to im just saying its not for everyone. I also really liked how much the instructor emphasized diet I do believe training is not even half as powerful without proper nutrition.
