I really enjoy taking class at Tuladhara - Its apparent that a lot of intention has gone into the space itself. All of the teachers and staff have always been kind, welcoming and inclusive. Glad to call this space my home studio!

I have only taken a handful of classes here over the years. It’s not my vibe. I prefer hot yoga, but really the space itself, is what I don’t love. It’s a great location, but the old house, is literally that. You can hear all the noises from the street, the restaurant upstairs, the squeaky door to the restroom, and in the sound bath class today a woman was texting with sound on. I know I will never find complete silence to practice in, but is it too much to ask to practice without someone stomping on the floor above your head? This was too much today and I couldn’t relax. The sound bath was amazing, but not in that space. I almost invited a friend for their first sound bath, and am so glad I didn’t. I will stick with the Lakewood location for meditation and other studios for my yoga practice.

I really like the yoga + meditation day classes with Megan Hart and Vinyasa with Katie Holbrook. I don’t work Mondays so it puts me in the right headspace to start my week. Day classes are best because it’s less noisy with the tenants upstairs. 6 pm classes are okay when medium energy because your moving more and it doesn’t need to be as quiet

The staff, the variety of classes and workshops offered, and the serene space are what keep my husband and I coming back to Tuladhara. The classes aren’t intimidating for newcomers, and all of the teachers I’ve practiced with have been fun and welcoming. As I’ve committed more to practicing, I’ve noticed a higher level of strength and vitality in my body. I really can’t recommend yoga at Tuladhara enough!

I am learning a great deal from the expert yoga instructors at Tuladhara. The classes are challenging for me and I’m receiving solid support and encouragement. The community at the Tacoma studio is welcoming and wonderful.

I have been going to the studio for almost 3 months. I tried almost all the teachers. I love it! Every one is really attempting and respectful. I never took any class in a studio before but I hear horrible stories about how plus side people can be insulted and humiliated . I never felt nothing else than respect and kindness. The place is also pretty and clean. Thank you for the great classes! Love the Ganesha statue by the way 🥰

This studio is amazing!! I’ve been out of touch with yoga since having a baby so I love that there’s a nice variety of yoga classes, especially yin! I went to Story’s (love her) Sunday class and it whooped my butt!!! I burnt 403 calories! I love that there’s nice beginner classes, intermediate, restorative, and workshops. There’s something for everyone! I’m super thankful for finding this studio and teachers. Each of them offer something super unique :)

I highly recommend this yoga studio! The instructors are very high quality and the classes are thoughtful, always integrating mind and body. I learn something new with every class I take, whether it be about yoga or about myself. Starting a regular practice and joining tacOMa yoga by Tuladhara as a member has kept me mentally grounded during the pandemic. I've particularly enjoyed classes with Lynette (yin and nidra), Sierra (vinyasa), and Shannen (vinyasa). I'm sure the other instructors are great too, these are just the ones I've taken from consistently and would recommend. The studio is accepting of all bodies and all levels and I have not come across an "inner circle" clique of students that I've run into at other studios. The studio has been great with covid precautions and clear communication as state regulations have changed. Definitely worth the money on so many levels.

Hands down, or downward dog down the best studio in Tacoma and beyond! Even when on vacation I have trouble finding studios that compare to TY. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and there's a great mix of flow, strength and variety that go beyond sun salutations. The staff are really warm and inviting and I always look forward to my time here.
