I’ve been taking online lessons from Coach Micah for over 2 years, and actually made a trip out to Wave when it finally opened! I was a nervous as it was my first experience ever in a group/gym environment, and I was flying across the country to immerse myself in the experience for a week.It was phenomenal. The community, the culture, the environment, the coaching, it is all S Tier. I spent that week learning alongside new friends from one of the best coaches I’ve ever met. Whether you are a novice or seasoned veteran; this is the place to challenge yourself and learn how to be a better fighter.

It's hard to describe how grateful I am for my experience at Wave Combats Sports. I started training here when the gym opened last January and I've gained so much confidence as a fighter and I'm really grateful to have been able to train and experience my first fight out of Wave! I'm sadly moving away, but It's been an honor to watch the gym grow over the last year and a half and I can't wait to see the continued evolution of Wave!

The environment this gym and its people provides is nothing short of what all MMA gyms should be. Friendly towards hobbyists, and challenging for those wishing to compete. Maintaining a safe/non-ego gym is what these people have DOWN which makes it all the more best to learn from these guys. If you're looking for an amazing striking coach, Micha B is your guy. Looking for a killer grappling coach? Rudy Gonzales has got you. My best decision to join these guys a year ago.

This is the very first gym I genuinely fell in love with. Most importantly I found a coach, mentor and a real master in his craft. I’ve found good and true teammates with whom I’ve trained with. In a very warm and competitive and safe environment. We all have different stories and lives, personal goals. And with that in mind all grew together towards them.I’ve been in 🌊 since its opening and I’ve trained in many professional clubs and been around the best in combat sports. Coach Micah B is THAT Coach you would want to be trained under and mentored by and Wave Combat Sports is THAT Gym. Whether you’re a professional, aspiring to become one or just someone who wants to learn something new and impactful. Welcome to Wave Combat Sports.

Iron sharpens iron and these guys are best people in Tacoma to learn and grow with! Rudy Gonzales is the most passionate and dedicated BJJ coach I have ever met and is invested in your progress no matter your level of experience if you want to learn BJJ what are you waiting for?! this is the place to be! Micah Brown is the Muay Thai striking coach at WCS and even though I’m on the BJJ side of the gym I can see he is the best at what he does and loves to teach, I hope to be able to train with him asap! If you are new.. start now and start here, it’s a welcoming environment and rich with spirit! If you are experienced, join us and enjoy an excellent gym to excel and continue your education in MMA. It’s always and inspiration being around everyone here they help push me to be the strongest version of myself. I am grateful to be apart ofWave Combat Sports!

I had 0 experience walking into Wave Combat, so I was a little nervous, but I quickly felt welcomed by both the coaches and teammates. It’s a fun atmosphere and everyone is just trying to get better. There’s also some competitive fighters on the team and going to watch their fights is a lot of fun. Highly recommend for beginners and experienced fighters alike!
