Absolutely amazing experience, not too crowded when we went, very friendly and helpful staff!I took my 3yr old to climb for the first time and everyone was so patient, welcoming and informative. They even had to scale the wall to "rescue" her, and then proceeded to try and teach her a few extra tips.

The staff members were friendly and helpful from the get-go. The training video was an okay introduction but it was not sufficient for me as a beginner. The routes are difficult to understand; they are marked with various colors of tape all over the place. The level of difficulty in the bouldering area is too high, especially for how routes are labeled. Overall, the Phoenix Rock Gym provided a fun afternoon of climbing, but it could use some upgrades or improvements.

It had been years since we went rock climbing at this facility. For $20 you can rent some shoes, climbing harness and all the rock climbing that you muscles can take or until they close that day. After signing a waiver you will watch a "how to climb safely" short info video. There are plenty of staff present encase you have a question or forget something. They are aware for everyone's safety. There are different sections for different skill level. They even have a small area for climbing history including some signed climbing persons trading cards. Would I go back? Yes.

One of my favorite places in Tempe. I've only climbed a few times before climbing at PRG and can say I've improved a lot because of this gym. They have a ton of routes, all with different levels. They have different rooms which offer a lot of variety. I wish I can come here more often.

One of the best rock gyms in the Valley! Run by rock climbers so it's legit, routes are constantly being updated so you don't really get bored; staff is friendly and safety is of utmost importance. Kid-friendly too!

I have been here multiple times each year for probably the last 10 or so years they always update the walls and keep it clean. I'm happy that this place stays positive and open. Setlriously consider taking a girl here on your first date. Especially a girl that enjoys fitness. Great leg and upper body workout. People usually very cool about sharing space on the walls.

This place is in Tempe! Pretty big place! All my granddaughters Rock climb! Even my at the time 3 year old! It's fun, it's exercise, it's addicting! You rent your equipment and you have to watch a training film, so you know what to do! Everyone is nice and most of them follow the rules! I had a wonderful time watching my grandchildren climb up to almost the ceiling and back again! I found everything was safe! No one got hurt! I thought it was great! I would give this place 15 stars if I could! ☮️

Staff is very friendly, funny, and helpful. If you don't have a partner to climb (which is required for most walls) every Tuesday and Thursday there's a Meetup so you can have a try at all walls. There's plenty of paths, ropes, climbs, etc. The gym has snacks and drinks in case you get tired, they also allow you can bring your own gear, water, etc. Overall a good place and not a bad rock gym to go to if it's your first time like me.

I Boulder more than top rope. They switch the routes out pretty often. They have a 2nd floor of bouldering if you're a member. Membership is affordable and worth it, I only climb by paying for a couple of months at a time. The route setters keep interesting problems. They even have pretty regular competitions. They recently switched out a lot of the art and I love it. They also have a new in door bike rack. They stay open until 10pm on the weekdays, but I wish they had more hours - earlier during the weekday and longer in the evenings especially the weekend.

If you're looking for a good rock climbing gym, this place is an excellent option. It's got a lot difficulty options, including some rope climbing and bouldering options as well. It pretty close to the 60, making it relatively accessible, and it's in an area of Tempe not far from some good restaurants/bars, so if you're looking to make a day of it, you've got a lot of options. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the safety procedures were thorough. I also noticed that a couple staff were constantly rotating around the room, checking that safety precautions were being taken. I find this important, especially if you're a novice or have a lot of children. Overall, great friendly atmosphere and great facilities for the price, which is reasonable for this kind of thing. My only reason for withholding a star is due to the one employee who was handing out equipment, as she struck me as impatient and a little rude on a couple of occasion, but maybe she was just having a rough day. In any case, hit this place up!
