Honestly it would be a nice gym if it weren’t for the culture of the employees that’s been perpetuating in commercial gyms for decades. I’m probably going to spend more to go to a private gym soon. Half of the time the gym smells like an open sewer and if you leave to car to grab something they want you to check in again even if you walked right passed them 60 seconds before that. I spend 55 dollars a month and buy an energy drink with a 66% profit margin in it every single day for the convenience factor and they can’t do something as simple as clean the bathrooms and value my time. It’s a simple transaction. I pay you money to use the facility. You accept the money. You leave me alone to do so. I’m not here to account for your members. Your employees are getting paid by the hour to be there and do just these aforementioned tasks. I am not, therefore my time is more valuable than their time.

Scam company, signed my daughter for a lengthy contract and refuses to cancel membership. Make you try and jump through many hurdles to cancel, they only exist to try and scam people out of their money. Avoid this gym at all costs, there are plenty of other local gyms that are more ethical and clean than LA Fitness, please support these rather than these thieves.

I had an extremely disheartening experience today at the LA Fitness Gym on 19th Street, Upland. I arrived at the gym around 6 am and was immediately warned by two individuals about a homeless man who was wandering around the premises. According to them, this person was carrying a large trash bag, behaving suspiciously, and even trying to peer into someone's car. They described him as creepy, observing women, randomly questioning people about unattended gym bags, and even witnessed him using the men's restroom sink as a shower. The homeless individual was over 6 feet tall, had a robust build, and appeared angry and potentially dangerous. I felt extremely frightened.Throughout my time at the gym, I watched this individual persistently roam around, surveying the area. What infuriated me the most was when he nearly entered the kids' club area! Numerous customers, more than 20 of us, complained to the LA Fitness staff members. Their response was simply that he had paid for a day pass. It baffles me that the gym would prioritize a $30 pass over the safety and well-being of their loyal customers. Where is the common sense in that decision?Later, while conversing with a friend in the restroom, I was explaining the situation to ensure her awareness and caution. Unexpectedly, a staff member overheard our conversation and emerged from a restroom stall, defensive rather than understanding the discomfort their decision had caused us, the loyal customers. The staff member went on to justify the situation, mentioning it was the second day for the front desk staff. While one bad decision can be understandable, it was disheartening that despite multiple customer complaints, they did nothing for three hours!! Not to mentioned, she was present when all the complaints were made. Furthermore, she mentioned that since there were no children in the kids' club, they saw no urgency to take action. Are they waiting for something terrible to happen before they respond? This entire experience has been truly disappointing.I have been a member of this gym since 2019, primarily because of its convenient location, being just five minutes away from my house. However, things seem to be deteriorating. The maintenance is poor, with missing weights and handles for the cables since the pandemic started and not being replaced. Moreover, they have deliberately stopped airing Fox News and kept the TV turned off. I am left wondering what the reasoning behind these decisions is. I sincerely hope that the top management will address these issues promptly and effectively!

Horrible professionalism.Tried to cancel in person, told everything was taken care of and then charged 2 weeks later. When I called and spoke to Nazar the manager about it he denied any proof of us coming in to cancel. I provided an exact day and time and he still declined to help. Had to call corporate to file a complaint on him and Anthony. Looks like the entire staff is related and in cahoots

Had the rudest time with an employee named Amanda. Not only was she unprofessional but she refused to help me when I asked for assistance. Loads of better gyms to go to and visit in the area. Would rather work out at the park then come back here.
