It's an excellent place for both individuals and families to work out. I know because I have been going for over seven years.

Be careful with this business . I signed up at my local Healthtrax for a pay ahead full year membership, only for them to quickly shut down and refuse to refund the money. This happen to myself as well as many senior citizen who paid ahead for classes and personal trainer fees. My advice is to think before committing to anything long term with them. Don’t let what happened to me happen to you!

This review will be similar to the other recent reviews, regarding this gym going way downhill. I've been working out here for over two years now. I really enjoyed this place until about 2 months ago, I'm fairly certain management changed. It is honestly a joke trying to work out here now. Machines are constantly broken, having "Out of Service" signs written in pencil placed over them for weeks. There is a serious lack of 5lb and 10lb plates in the free weight area, to the point where if there are over 3 people working you will have to wait for plates (which is completely asinine). Only one squat rack, and most of the time someone is using it for rack pulls, shoulder press, or some other purpose for which it is not suited for. The equipment is also shoddily put together or placed, It is so bad that I would even call it dangerous. One of the benches has a 2.5lb plate under it to keep it level... Cables snapping on a functional trainer machine due to lack of maintenance. I've never seen anyone checking cables here, lubing machines, greasing weights, or even just doing occasional spot checks. Dumbbells are misplaced, missing, and most are loose. The only person I have even seen working upstairs is the cleaning woman, who does an absolutely phenomenal job. The one thing I can't say about the gym area is that it is dirty. She is about the only person I see working on the gym. The Men's locker room is another story. Showers are absolutely filthy. Floor is not graded to go towards the drains so that water pools up in spots in the shower stalls. Smells like urine and grey water just about all the time. I stopped taking showers here because it is so bad. I cannot fault the cleaning woman for this though since there would be no way for her to regularly access the Men's area, just management for their cost cutting and ineptitude. I'm sure that management is just riding out this facility because of the pool. The East Greenwich location is on a different planet compared to this dump, I can't believe they are owned by the same company. The EG location does not have a pool though, so that must be the only reason this place is being kept open. Such a shame, it was a nice gym for a while, and all the members I've spoken to have echoed this sentiment. Long story short, look elsewhere if you intend on working out. This facility is unsafe, unequipped, and mismanaged.

They leased the pool to an outside school, collecting rent despite their obligations to the members. This took away two lanes, now they've granted them the entire pool from 4p to 6p, which has been peak hours for members, three days a week. The manager told me he'd have to take a look at "the agreement" he had with them, it was later confirmed there was a lease and they are collecting rent. I responded with "my agreement is I pay for a pool."He then gave a me a mouthful of literally nothing.I wrote corporate and spoke with Debbie who showed no interest in the impact on members, that it was theft of my use of the facility, I was loyal for ten years including during the pandemic, my membership preceded the contract with the school or even that taking up the whole pool is unnecessary and that they are double dipping at members' expense. She absolutely did not care about the members, the perception of the gym, or the business model and ethics of intentionally overbooking, ultimately shafting the member.I was "only a month to month member, you should consider another gym." Off to Esporta/LA Fitness. There is no way I can believe or accept the "apology" written below from management. They rented members' space to other people thereby stealing time from members. Although they say they various demands, the demands of the members comes before an outside business. They felt no remorse at the time and are not trustworthy

this new system for using the club quite frankly wastes a considerable amount of members time by having to book only two days and then have to check mail to see if you got your spot we paid in advance for our memberships and as such the terms have changed unilaterally and if you want to give us twice the membership then we will consider putting up with this BS

The gym is great. All the equipment you would want , supervised by a friendly and very professional Staff. I think I would say the emphasis has been on wellness for me. The fitness is a secondary benefit but I’m sure other folks might see it differently . I recommend the facility highly no matter your age or ability.
