Gold's Gym, located in Plaza West Covina, offers a standard gym experience with a clean environment and friendly staff. The gym operates from early morning until late night, providing ample flexibility for workout schedules. They maintain a good selection of pre-workout and protein shakes. However, be cautious of their sales tactics, as some members have reported pressure to purchase training programs and difficulties with membership cancellations. The equipment is generally in working order, although there are occasional issues with mismatched plates and limited availability of weightlifting stations.
Despite these inconveniences, many members appreciate the clean facilities and supportive trainers. If you prefer a straightforward gym experience and can navigate their sales approach, Gold's Gym could be a suitable option for your fitness journey.

my opinion they are scam artist. opening multiply accounts. Then they change the cancelation email making it harder for your to cancel. Why cant we just be able to cancel the gym member ship at the location we opened the account? Because they want to keep you locked into a trash gym.

The worst rules ever in my whole life!!!! Especially when they hire people who work now and they are not friendly. You have to have an appointment for everything!!! COME ON we are in 2023 and your rules are 1987, probably people have to sign in to Gold’s Gym only because no other gym close to them or other gyms are at least friendly and can help you without an appointment.

As other say, it's a relatively normal gym. However, the Fullerton or Arcadia location are worlds apart from this one. The plates are mismatched, the equipment needs the be replaced, some are even broken. Considering swapping back to LA Fitness or to 24hr since they have more locations available.

I've come here since it basically opened. Staff is friendly. The gym itself I see is kept clean. Mostly all the equipment works. If it doesn't, they leave a note on it as far as trainers recently they have been getting. Bad reviews when I went when this gym first opened my trainer Manny was awesome. He is no longer there.

This golds gym has always been a home for me. However, the reason for a 2 star review is due to their sales and marketing team taking advantage of people with false advertising. Currently now they have a 35cent add on family and friends deal. However this is NOT true. After being helped by Matthew one of the team sales man, he kept going back and forth with a front desk manager who claims the deal has ended. If a deal has ended they MUST STOP advertising 35cent add ons. It’s miss perceiving. It was also very unprofessional for Matthew to be going back and forth with a manager. If there were some issues in their system. A manager should have spoken to me directly. Instead of hiding in her office.

Overall it’s a regular whatever gym that is packed like planet fitness. I know every gym is like that so I’m not complaining about that. Only difference is when you join they’ll try to schedule you an inbody appointment and start forcing you to buy their program. Well I know we should’ve seen it coming but we’re too careless and just let it happen. Don’t really like the way that they were pushing you to buy the training program. Once the personal trainer couldn’t persuade you, they’ll call some other pushy people to talk to you. We tried to say we’re not interested multiple times and they just won’t give up and also kinda trying to make us feel bad. I know it’s their job, and they did their job real good. Just the pushing you to buy their programs attitude kinda scares me.

It’s a basic gym, always full and somewhat clean BUT what really gets me is the AWFUL MUSIC BLASTING AT FULL VOLUME. I have noise canceling headphones but can still hear it. Either change the station or lower the volume

The gym is kept pretty clean. There is a good selection of pre workouts and protein shakes in the fridge. Staff is pretty good too. I just wish there were more flat benches and squat racks and less cardio machines. Any given day the weight section is packed and I’ve never had a hard time finding an empty cardio machine. Please get more racks and benches lifting is so popular now

So, I signed up with the manager “Frank” seems like a knowledgeable guy. Was very kind, he seemed trust worthy so I signed up for a month to month membership on the phone with him.1. I was told I’m able to cancel anytime.2. If I needed anything to call and he will help. One week later I realized that I made a mistake and that my hours conflict with their hours of operations. I called to cancel right away.Spoke to Frank again and he told me he cancelled my membership and that I wouldn’t be charged.Unbeknownst to me, 3 month later and they are charging me monthly and even charged an annual maintenance fee of $49. I called spoke with 4 different people who indicated they would fix the problem because Frank NEVER cancelled anything. He lied, and the staff couldn’t cancel a policy.I asked to speak with him but Frank was no where to be found. “Busy now”How did I fix the issue?-I called my bank and disputed the transactions and paid to block Golds gym. What now?-Golds gym won’t stop calling me from different numbers telling me that I have an over due/deficient balance lolREMINDER: I haven’t even been to that gym 1 time ! Cancelled within a week. Conclusion:Don’t trust Frank “management, “ they are quick to get you in, take your money and forget about anything else. “ so disappointing!
