As a former athlete, after getting situated with my move to Winston, I knew I wanted to get back into the gym and lifting ASAP. After some recommendations, I decided to give The Workhouse Fitness a try, and it has been everything I could've wanted and more! Coaches Emily, Robbie, and Bianca are extremely friendly, supportive, and knowledgable, and they know just how to push you to reach your goals. I became noticeably stronger within weeks of working with them, and the numbers prove it too. They've created such a FUN, welcoming, upbeat, and hardworking community/environment, and I genuinely look forward to going in each day. Can't recommend them enough!!

When I first met with Robbie, he took the time to explain the Workhouse method and made sure he knew my goals and self-perceived limitations, my history of injuries, and what movements were painful for me. The coaches here have always made sure to fine-tune the exercises to what is safe and effective for me on this journey.In just five weeks, Workhouse Fitness has transformed me from someone who absolutely dreaded the gym and got winded going up a set of stairs into someone who gets pumped to step through the door and feels five years younger. I promise you will not be disappointed when you come to try out this gym!For those who want a more in-depth review:The Coaches: Robbie, Emily, and Bianca are absolutely phenomenal, and it is clear they are passionate and educated about what they are doing. These coaches are genuinely invested in your fitness journey. Even with 16 people in a workout, they are highly attentive to each individual. Whether helping you with your form or switching one exercise for another based on your abilities, they are constantly paying attention and mindful of what is best for you. They are just as excited as you to see you succeed and progress.The Program: Workhouse's 12-week program is expertly crafted. With one-rep max testing for core lifts at the start and at check-ins throughout, seeing your progress is simple. The circuit-style workouts are perfectly paced to keep your heart rate up and leave room for you to decide your intensity for the day. Cardio days are challenging but fun, especially on Saturdays where you work out with partners, and the exercises become a game with a mission you accomplish together. The exercises are planned and coordinated so well, which allows you to spend less time setting up and more time getting that pump.The Equipment: The gym is stocked with brand-new Rogue Fitness equipment. They have everything you could possibly need to complete each exercise quickly and effectively. The gym layout is maximized with ample space for going up and down the turf section during cardio-heavy stations and quickly switching out weights at the racks without bumping into others. There are even plenty of lacrosse balls, foam rollers, and a massage gun to decompress and stretch before or after the workouts. The bathrooms are always super clean, and there's a shower available. Everything was meticulously designed and selected to give you the best workout possible.The Community: At Workhouse, you not only get amazing coaches and equipment, but you also get access to a super-friendly and motivated community of people striving for similar fitness goals. Everyone pushes each other and respects boundaries. The Friday social events are a great way to get to know the coaches and fellow gym-goers. Everyone at Workhouse wants to see you achieve your goals and cheer you on. The environment is unmatched. Working out feels less like a chore and more like a fun plan with friends!

I can't say enough positive things about this gym! As a newcomer to strength training, I definitely didn't know what I was doing. The trainers make you feel comfortable and work with you on an individual level to achieve results. The equipment is excellent, the Community wonderful, and the trainers really know what they're doing. If you are unsure about joining a gym, I recommend giving this one a try! You won't regret it.

The Workhouse is a unique experience. Will you curse Bianca every time she corrects your form on the ski ERG? Yes. Will you consider acts of violence every time Robbie asks you to push out one more rep? Absolutely.But will you also feel like you’ve conquered Mount Everest after each workout and walk out of there feeling like a champion? Hell yeah.I’ve been weight lifting for almost 17 years and have been a part of many different gyms during that time, so when I say The Workhouse specifically has reignited my passion for fitness and has done an incredible job with their programs, I mean it.It’s obvious that each part of this venture has been well thought out. From the design of the facility to the actual programming they apply to work outs. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of and I’m very excited to see where they go.

Workhouse Fitness is a great place with wonderful and supportive coaches. The environment is very welcoming and I love how the workouts are structured. This is by far the best workout class I have ever tried and it keeps me motivated to continue pursuing a healthy lifestyle. 10/10 would recommend!

From the coaches to the exercises, WF creates an inclusive and encouraging environment for all who come. The range of times for workout classes allows for gym goers to attend when is most convenient for them. Robbie and Bianca are super enthusiastic coaches who work with you and your goals to achieve exactly what you came for. I highly recommend going if you ever get the opportunity!

The Workhouse is such a great place to work towards meeting your fitness goals. The coaches are approachable, knowledgeable, and help to personalize your workout every time in order for you to see progress. The workouts are fun and unique but also keep your body guessing! I have never been much of a gym person however I’ve come to really enjoy The Workhouse. I decided to try it out after my fiancé joined and have been surprised at how much I feel like my strength has changed in the past few weeks. The classes are different each week and fast paced so there is not any time wasted. Robbie, Bianca, and Emily are all very hands on and work with each person individually to set realistic goals and ensure the programming is working for us. All of the members are also very friendly and even though I came in knowing nothing about fitness, I’ve been very comfortable around everyone. I’d highly recommend The Workhouse to anyone.

The Workhouse is an incredible gym that I would highly recommend to individuals of all fitness levels. The coaches work one-on-one to understand your personal goals, past injuries, etc to customize your workout, and are able to modify or ramp up movements as needed. In addition to the awesome workouts and top of the line equipment, one of my favorite parts about this gym is the PR (Personal Record) Bell! When you hit a new milestone, you run over and ring the bell. It's awesome to see how psyched fellow athletes are and really showcases the sense of community and encouragement at this gym.

I've been a part of Workhouse Fitness for over a month now and have really enjoyed my experience so far. As someone who has had very little experience in strength training, the coaches do a great job walking you through each exercise and are focused on form and safety. Not only do they have challenging (but fun!) workouts, they have also built an incredible community that is so welcoming and supportive. Definitely recommend checking them out!
