Terrible Place, Indeed.

My daughter really enjoys taking karate here. The instructors really work with them to make sure they do their best, while also instilling discipline. Highly recommended!

We take our kids here for Karate 2 to 3 times per week. They have great family/group pricing. They are very good with kids.

After going to a different karate school for 3 years, I switched to American Karate. I have to say, it was the best decision. They go above and beyond for their students, and I have not once had a bad experience with them. If someone wanted to start their karate journey, I would 100% point them here. I'm currently in 8th grade, and started in 2018. I've only gotten compliments on my discipline and respect for others. I go the most days you can go a week, which is 5. Ever since I came here, I've truly only improved. I also have the option to go to multiple tournaments throughout a year, and with that, it's also boosted my confidence immensely.

I’ve been doing martial arts at American Karate Studios for over 10 years and it has been some of the best experiences of my life! They have some of the best instructors who truly care. I suggest going here if you’re interested in martial arts, as it’s great for anyone of any age.

This is a message to help out anyone new who wants to join the American karate studio. You might see very good feedback about this place, but that’s only because the previous owner/master, Dave Buker, was a very good master. The new owners which are two very young siblings who bought the studio are not responsible enough to do business with them. I put my three children into this karate studio because it was only 2 minutes far away from my house. After I paid $850, two weeks later I found out they’re moving the studio to another place. They had never mentioned this to me when I was paying. They put the new address on the board and after I checked on the gps, it said that it was 7 minutes away. After 2 months they moved to the new location, and turns out the address they displayed wasn’t even the right one. The new location was even farther away than that. I told them I couldn’t drive in the nighttime that far with my children because I have visual problems in the night. I wanted to ask if they could just freeze my payment till march. They refused to workout a plan with me or at least give me my remaining money back. Plus the new place was extremely small to host a lot of children and adults.

Great school! Love that it’s 8 minutes from home and that they are the top school in the PKC 9-years in a row! They’ve taught me from the ground up. I firmly believe that if I was put in a tough spot I would be able to defend myself! Thanks Devin and Angel!

I went to the American Karate studio and paid them for six months ahead as it cost cheaper than paying monthly for each individual month. They didn’t bother telling me though that they were changing locations. The new location was incredibly far away from the original location so I asked for my money back and they said they couldn’t refund or work out anything better. Would not recommend as they’re clearly not honest with their customers.

For starters, coming to American Karate Studios was THE BEST choice I could have made for my son. My son had started karate when he was 5 years old at another facility. We were so new to the extra circular activities and didn’t know the ins and outs but wanted him to be active in something.Back in March 2022, American Karate Studios host a tournament called March Madness and that’s where it became evident that was the studio my son was meant to be in. I contacted Angel and Deven, shortly after he did a private lesson with them. We have been going there since April 2022 and have absolute no regrets. The Fickes family has to be one of the best things that’s happened to my son. They’re all super patient, kind, nurturing to all the kids, honest, respectful and anything I looked for or expected in someone as a leader for my son. Thank you AKS for all the hard work, dedication and leadership you provide. We love you. ❤️
