giving an honest opinion about the planet fitness in Akron Ohio… as a two-year member I can say the pros and cons of this gym…-Cheap-Very friendly people-Clean equipmentNegatives-4-6pm get busy-lots of small talk throughout the gym

I have been a member at several different Planet Fitness gyms and this one is the best of them all. Equipment is always clean, staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Fairlawn/Copley is a Great PF Home Base. All staff here are always helpful, attentive and positive. This is a very well-managed location!I really love this place and looking forward to bringing more of my friends here.

I'm not really a fan of planet fitness because of their propaganda relating to false claims of bullying from other gyms. I will give credit where credit is due. They are one of the only fitness centers in the region who use kidney cam style Nautilus machines. For that reason alone I will gladly go back. But my friend dropped a 10 lb weight on accident and the lunk alarm sounded. That's some hater s*** right there 😂😂 planet fitness needs to stop lying about other gyms because they aren't really all that. I'd rather support an organization like the YMCA who gives back to the community.

I moved to a different state and didn't cancel right away. New area didn't have a gym to continue membership. Argued with them about balance after not using the gym for 6 months due to no accessibility. Garbage buisness practice especially on a month to month. I'd give a 0 but cant

I have been to multiple workout facilities over the years . It’s hard to beat the multiple convenient locations , kind staff , clean equipment and great amenities planet fitness offers . Especially at an extremely low price tag .

“Manager” wouldn’t let me or my wife workout because I wouldn’t update my CC info even tho I’ve been a member for 3 years and never missed a payment. Never been an issue at any other planet fitness when I explain I don’t want to have the ability to buy anything at will. My way of financially controlling myself but oh well. I’ll go to a different planet fitness, just a waste of my time is all. Update, manager is trying to prohibit me from working out at all locations. Ultimately, he wants me to cancel my membership. Power trip is real with the managers at this location. Never had an issue at any location besides this one. Update- cancelled my membership after three years since Jacob’s feelings got hurt and he flagged my account so I couldn’t workout anywhere. Good job James you lost a customer due to poor customer service.

Usually pretty solid, but after 6 months today was the 2nd day they weren't open when they're supposed to be. First, they started opening later on weekends, and cut the 24 hour thing during the week. 7am on weekends is too late, but I work with it..Today, its 755a and still no staff. Under no circumstance should a place like this only have one person scheduled to open up.

Terrible gym. I went in the “30 minute workout” area to use the hamstring curl machine. No other humans were in the area and a staff member explained I was not allowed to be on that machine and the area was reserved only for 30 minute express workouts. My husband had his sweatshirt next to him in the gym and the staff member said he was not allowed to have it there and needed to put it in a locker. Will never return to this joke of a gym.

This planet fitness is one of the best! Always clean, the staff is friendly, and you usually have no trouble accessing the equipment you want. We have been members for about two years now and really enjoy getting a work out in at Copley Planet Fitness.
